Not a good way of looking
At the world…
Red, orange and green.
Complementary colours
Glow in the afternoon sun
Dappled shade covers the view
Humid air drips with heat
Lazy bees circle the flowers
Looking for a drink
To cool their flagging wings
Summer has arrived.

Cats almost fade
Like lighting for a play
A theatrical act.
Or are they going to play games
Chase each other
Into the shadows
Curl up and sleep

The world watches

Tested to destruction

Maximum effort to pass

Bounced and bumped and pushed
Given medicine that may transform
Be a “cure”
Test positive, or negative?
The result depends
On interpretations
May you all pass.
I woke up aching,
My shoulder hurt
My neck is tight
Need to relax
Only 4 hours
Of sleepless
Discomfort.
Decaff helped
Pain killers too.
Now dozing
Tired
Might nap
I need a hug
Ugh!
I see the sea and wish
I could be there to see it.
Sending postcards to
Wish you were there
Friends and family
When will I go back?
It’s not far away in distance
But it is in time
I don’t know if I can go now.
I lost my confidence
Don’t feel safe
