I’m happy I took this photo some time ago early one morning in North Wales. I know the horizontal is off. I remember turning round, seeing this and snapping off a quick shot. The clouds seem to mirror the sea. I love the brilliant blue showing through. Memory of happier times…
She always greets me in the bathroom. Follows me in there. She drinks out of a glass on the edge of the bath. She prefers that to a bowl on the floor. I don’t know why she has this foible, but it’s her choice.
She also likes playing with dripping water, I’ve left the tap on a trickle and she will put her paw into the drips then lick it. It’s fun to see her playing around with it. She is a beautiful tuxedo cat, very shiny fur, neat and tidy and sweet. She also plays football with a little stripey ball, dribbling it between her paws. Such a playful cat.
Last night we had fun trying to sing together as a group on Zoom. It was a laugh, we all tried to sing together but the delays on the line meant that most of the time we were badly out of sync with each other….
Then my cat jumped up and kept getting in the way. She was walking backwards and firwards in front on my camera, so I grabbed her for a couple of minutes, I must have looked like a Bond villan! My friend who was hosting the meeting, tried to play music for us to sing to, but we couldn’t here it. At one stage he had three screens and two mice and keyboards on the go trying to get it to work. I admired the effort as it was the first time he had tried to do it!
Next week we will have another go, but it might be best to mute everyone and just sing along with someone leading the choir. As it was we were too busy falling about laughing instead of trying to sing the tune. I’ve never heard Molly Malone sung like that except as a raucous chorus in a pub on a boozy night out. It was a fun night though with friends.

Like a tortoise shell
Sitting and thinking
Till the dinner bell.
my hubby finished this. I like the fact he’s done the cat in green. Also that he’s left some of this white. I’m to blame for the beading, it was too fiddly for him.
It’s definitely a riot if cheerful colours. I’m not sure where it’s going. It might go on his side of the bedroom..
Playing with the sketch app and photo editing app. Trying to create pattern and colour, a summery feel to cheer me up after the heavy rain we had over the last couple of days. A rainbow effect after flooding and dark clouds.
Looking forward to a brighter day tomorrow.

Be careful where you put the glue
You might end up looking like Rembrant
Laughing like a cavalier.
You might end up with curling eyebrows,
Or with a twisting beard.
Just don’t go mad with super glue
Or you might have it for Years!
This is my partners painting of our old cat from about 30 years ago.
It’s oil paint on hardboard. He doesn’t paint but when we had this cat he decided to have a go. He also did a large painting of sunflowers at the same time. I love this , it’s up in our bedroom. When I wake up in the morning I remember her.
To anyone who thinks they can’t paint or draw I would say it doesn’t matter. This is a loving attempt at capturing a sweet cat. It’s the feeling behind this that matters and I love Richard for painting it.
