New paintings and regular art updates.
I think this is done. It’s a beach and sea scene viewed from above. I decided to put some rocks in the bottom right corner, but do they look OK? This had Bern sitting on my easle since before Christmas and I have only just felt well enough to try and finish it. I hope the person who commissioned it likes it.
Painted this today, only 5×5 inches. I might add more to the background. It’s meant to have droplets of water (like tears) on the petals. I’m also trying to emphasise the flower with a strong red but I don’t know if I should darken the greens. Still I have at least painted again.
Art is whatever someone wants. This is a painting I promised to do a year ago, but then I got busy with my MA and I never seemed to find the time to work on it it’s only small, about A4, acrylic on canvas. It needs work on the light and dark areas and I want to get a bit more texture into the sand. But it’s a good start. It’s 3am so I’m putting down my brushes for the night.

Crow painting from 2017. Acrylic on canvas with gold leaf. It was an experiment which I felt came out OK. Its from my imagination. It was only about six inches square.
I did a series of small paintings over the last few years, mainly for sale in craft fairs, they were quite popular. I wish I was doing more, but it’s pointless at the moment as I would just be creating more art with no outlet to sell it. Anyway I hope things get back to some form of normal in the next six months to a year……. Xxx
He’s finished ! Took a while….
I have been a bit “off” lately, I’ve wanted to finish a couple of paintings but haven’t felt up to it. To do art you have to concentrate, work out what you are doing, then act on it. I could think what I wanted to do but could not do it. I think I had been working so hard towards the two craft fairs I did a couple of weeks ago that I had run out of steam. So it’s good to be able to paint again. I love this little owl, he’s only tiny but I think he’s a real character. He should be going to a new owner today.
