My hand is OK. I just bandaged it roughly and stuck the bandage together with plasters so I could draw it. The prompt for #bandofsketchers today was ‘First Aid’. I always like the challenge of drawing hands. I drew round it’s outline to accomplish this.
Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was Shelter.
This is a bit late. Shelter flummoxed me until I saw my cat getting in a box. Then I looked up cat shelters online. Expected to see cat charities but it came up with a load of sweet shelters for outside cats. This pyramid shaped one with a little porch seemed ideal. I don’t know if the door closes but it looks snug. X

I usually just write something and post it there but the prompt ‘shake’ struck a nerve (pun intended) so I decided to share it here too. I do have a shake and I am waiting for an appointment to find out the cause. And it doesn’t really pause. It keeps shaking, even at night. And I’m really tired and fed up. So here it is.
Strange lunch, orange flavoured Hot Cross buns with chocolate chips. We were having a big meal for our dinner and we had a big breakfast so I just wanted a simple, small meal to eat. Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was Sunday Lunch so I did a quick sketch of these. They were tasty, but I think I prefer the original flavour. Less sweet and with Cinnamon. Also its very early in the year for Hot Cross buns. X
Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was open. I didn’t know what to draw. I thought an open tap. But instead of drawing the real thing I imagined it. Using felt pens again… I need new ones!

Frosty leaves
shiver in the breeze,
Silver highlights
Make them bright,
Ice crystals like sugar
Sweeten their pallor.

My standard lamp, the shade was from the Waiting room gallery. It’s not accurate, I don’t have the right colours. But I like the landscape of potbank and houses on it. The leaves are from a Christmas present (yukka?) next to it. #bandofsketchers prompt ‘lamp’
#bandofsketchers prompt today is hands.
Insomnia struck and I wanted something to do so I drew round my left hand as I used to when I was a kid. Then I filled it in, wondered what it would look like with nail varnish. Finally added a pattern so it looks like it’s resting on something. X
Our #bandofsketchers prompt today was sweet treat in honour of artist Wayne Thiebaud who died recently and who created art based on this theme (he did some beautiful work). Mine is Sweet treats. A bit dodgy because of my shaking arm and I was drawing on the back of a page where ink had bled through. Cup cakes in paper cases with icing and cherries on top…
Today’s (Sundays) #bandofsketchers prompt was faded.
Faded jeans… I only have a limited pallette I’m working with. It gives me more of a challenge. I was also drawing in a darkened room as hubby was watching TV so it was hard to see the folds and crumples in them.
