Oh the joy of a happy cat
Smiling teeth, sharp claws
Ready to pounce
Satisfied with his hunting skills
He can stay in the house
Leave birds
Play with his toy mouse!
Stay happy but quiet!
Good cat!

#bandofsketchers prompt was island views. I tried to do a drawing of St Michaels Mount. I couldn’t work directly off a photo as its on a website and I couldn’t take a screen shot of it. Then I had to draw sideways to fit in my screen on the Artrage app I drew it in. Finally rotated it, it’s a bit of an impressionist image x

Based on a fern plant. Just grey black, white and green using different pens in the Artrage app. Included a metallic background on this abstract drawing.

Nose is one of the recent #bandofsketchers prompts. I couldn’t resist trying to draw a nose from my imagination. The bit that goes in underneath is called the philtrum. Artrage app stylus painting. I used a metallic gold flood fill to start with, then used non metallic colours and pens.

I’m just watching a TV programme called “glow up” about creative makeup artists. I decided to experiment and create my own “look”. It’s just a digital drawing in Artrage using metallic and non metallic colours. I wasn’t bothered about making it pretty. I was just playing with it.

Digital drawing in response to some celtic knot drawings I did thirty or forty years ago. I started with Artrage, then used photodirector app and incollage, finally I used a filter in Instagram. Sketching the patterns was easier for me back in those days, but by using digital technology I can create more complaxity.

I do like a pattern, abstract, curves
Colours and shapes
All in a swirl
Like a pine cone
Or succulent
Fibonacci shaped
Helical twisting
Rainbow
Or window
Sweet.

I’ve just been playing with a spiral, like a pine cone. I added light and shade using the eraser tool on my Artrage app, this is the last one which went funny when I edited it on Instagram but looks OK now. There are about five variations using Artrage, photodirector and Instagram to et to this. #bandofsketchers prompt was light.

Catching up with #bandofsketchers prompts. Still catching up. I imagined the unknown, the other side of a black hole.. If you could survive the massive gravity would you come out the other side into a white hole and get flung into the far reaches of the Galaxy? It’s unknown…. Artrage app drawing.

Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was Sky. I’ve always wanted to see the aurora borealis (northern lights). Apparently it’s been visible in the UK recently but as usual it was cloudy here. So here’s my imagined, finger painting in Artrage.
