Breath
Semi abstract digital drawing with the Artrage app. I wanted to fry and create an idea of the air currents that happen when you are breathing. This was a finger drawing rather than using a stylus. I haven’t been doing much recently.
Doodle and texture
I’ve found my favourite tweak in Photodirector after losing it for a bit. There were added tools and some of them have been relabled so it took me a while of looking through things to find the texture tools somewhere I wasn’t expecting. The original drawing on the left was done in Artrage oils app 7 years ago.
Again
Comes to something when you are so tired after “another sleepless night”, that you end up doodling about it. At almost 6am.
I used my Artrage app to do it and the various brushes to get different looks. I didn’t blur anything together so it looks quite graphic/illustrative. I’m please the blue stands out against the flood filled black.
Why am I awake? Aches, tremors, too hot or cold, also hungry as I missed a few meals with a stomach bug. Urgh.
5 year old sketch
Artrage sketch from 5 years ago. I was learning how to use Artrage which I had bought recently and was experimenting with colours, metallic backgrounds and textures. I quite like the watercolour effect that seemed almost analogue.

Playing, digital drawing, trying to add colour and using symmetrical mirrors images.
I’ve had to delete several images again as I don’t have enough memory to keep all of them. If you find some of my blogs without a picture, that’s why!
Variations
Playing with illustration ideas. If you mirror image half a picture you can create completely different faces. Asymmetry and Symmetry. Artrage app.
When you look at a real face it can be lopsided. Often one eye will be higher up than the other. The underlying skull can be lopsided too. This can be because one side of a brain may be more dominant than the other. I’m not sure of the actual physiological causes of this. I could find out, but just enjoyed experimenting with the original drawing. X
Frappachino?
I went to my art group for mental wellbeing this morning and decided on the way home because the weather is sunny and burning hot. So I went shopping to save having to go out again later. While I was in the supermarket I treated myself to a chocolate frappachino? Is that what it’s called (milkshake) it was so cold I got real brain freeze! (drawn in Artrage app).
It’s about 30°C outside and I was in the car which was incredibly hot. No air conditioner so I had the windows wide open. I was so tired and overheated when I got home I’ve just come in and kicked my shoes off. Now for a rest!
Flag
#bandofsketchers prompt was flag, just experimenting with digital textures. I used Artrage for this with a slight metallic tinge. It’s not very exciting but I’m trying to drag myself back into doing art.

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a band of sketchers prompt. I’ve decided to resume so I at least post a bit of art here. I’ve been feeling down for too long. I don’t know if this will help, but I’ve got to try.
