Shapes on the cat tree and next to it. Suddenly becoming more interesting with the silhouettes and pale flowers outside. Almost like a solarized photo. I like the way some of the shapes have a darkened edge ariubd them. Quite abstract.
New paintings and regular art updates.

A difficult #bandofsketchers prompt, Spread. A digital finger painting of cheese spread being put on toast wirh a knife. Used a lot of different texture tools in my Artrage app to give it a bit of a 3d feeling.

Catching up with #bandofsketchers prompts. This one was Play. Playing with digital ideas and textures. I used Artrage and Sketchbook apps to create this semi surrealistic eye floating in an alien sky. Weird!

If you find one of my posts without an image, it’s because I’m running out of memory on my Jetpack account again. If I had enough money I would increase my package. What I’m doing is to take the most boring photos away. I hope you don’t mind, but I thought if I explained people would understand what I was doing. The other thing to do would be to reduce the photo sizes to thumbnails, but that just makes the pictures to small to see properly.

I’m still doing digital sketches for #bandofsketchers. This animal is a roughly drawn Zebra in my sketchbook app. Using a black pen, white eraser, green pastel, and a dark green flood fill. Trying to make it look like a lino cut. X

#bandofsketchers repetition. Trying to catch up. My sketchbook has run out of pages and I’m stuck at home with a pulled ligament in my foot so I might do a lot of digital drawings. This has various repetitive sections using 3 different apps.

Was today typical?
No, it wasn’t, but not everyday is. A typical day for me would have been when I was at work. Now I do things for myself I can be running all over the place. Or sitting still.
I had to get this photo taken again because I had sent it off in the wrong format. The deadline was midnight. I had to go out to my studio to take the picture. But I’d hurt my foot (I’m using a walking stick). I had to find out the code for the doors in the ground floor of the studios so I could use the lift. Panicked email to the manager to arrange. I managed to get the photo done.
A friend rang asking for help, but I had to say no for once, I’m in too much pain and I had to prioritise. Then I couldn’t get the shopping done. Hubby came to my rescue. No it wasn’t a typical day…..

How would you describe yourself to someone?
I don’t have brown hair anymore, and it’s rather longer than this painted self portrait. I still wear glasses. I’ve been trying to loose weight and succeeded in dropping 35 kilos.
I am generally cheerful, despite old age creeping up and breaking bits of me. I mean if you see me across a crowded room I’ll probably be the one shaking and staggering a bit?
I’ve always been short. I knew people got taller as they grew older, so I was very disappointed when I stopped growing but other family members didn’t! I’ve always assumed myself to be ‘good’, and have been described as pleasant. But I got a stubborn streak from my mother and grandmother and I’m quite moral and believe we are all entitled to our rights and shouldn’t be pushed around.
And I try to be creative, I love art, invention, science, science fiction and cats, and as someone just said I’m a good artist!

A few views of where I set up to paint along side a family, gran, mother and daughter who were all painting. I really enjoyed the company. It’s good to be finally involved with other artists. We were at the top of the slope looking down at the Hall. Other people arrived and some went on to paint the lovely garden. I’ll post a few more photos later.

Pictures behind pictures, a wall full of images. The chimney brest is concrete so it took an effort to get the nails in!
It also has a mantlepiece with lots of ornaments, mainly cats. I’m not proud of my clutter, but I’m attached to it. I took a monochrome photo because the colours are a bit riotous!
Are you a clutter nutter? Do you ‘collect’ or ‘hoard’? I’m on the verge, I might slip into hoarding soon, but recently I have been trying to declutter. It’s not a rapid process. But I’m trying.
