Oh come on cat! I can’t move because you are lying om my leg. Weighing it down, stretched out on my lap. I don’t want to disturb you, warm and sleepy. But I need my leg back! It’s falling asleep. I’ve got pain on my ankles, in my hip, in my lower back… There are plenty of other places you could sit or lie. But I want to move. Then you sigh, and relax, and I am lost. I am just your mattress, your bed. I am your slave.
Progress! The abandoned cat got up courage and came inside the backdoor this afternoon to have something to eat. He’s gradually getting confident enough to trust us. My boy cat went out again this morning, not far, he’s very nervous of strange noises that make him jump. It’s a balance but I hope all three (including our girl cat) can integrate together.
He’s curled up on a cushion between out two chairs. Happily asleep. He’s not a cat that twitches much when he dreams. Some of the kick out their legs and run after mice I guess when they sleep. But my boy cat stays calm, a twitch of his ear, or his nose is all he does. Cats sleep for sixteen hours a day as far as I know. Imagine that. Head down, dreaming over what food he will be getting for tea. Slightly pampered. Always loved.
Hes just discovered the cat flap is working, so he went out into the dark night. The thing is that now both of my cats are inoculated they can go out. But there is the abandoned cat outside and he’s twice my boy cats size and even bigger than the girl cat.
So boy went out through the flap, but couldn’t get back in because the abandoned one was hanging round for food. Solution. Put a tray of cat food further up the yard to distract the abandoned one, then call boy cat in. Finally lock the cat flap for the night…. Result he can’t get out! Will open it again in the morning.
Hubby decided it would be a good idea to bring the outside cat in, so he bought it into the living room. But it was not happy and struggled out of his grip. Our boy cat followed him as he’s friendly, but the outside cat turned round and hissed and swiped at him. I showed him where the cat flap was. He scarpered. Then as our female cat came to look at what was happening by the backdoor the abandoned cat lashed out again, this time from outside the cat flap. Result three confused and upset cats! So next time we will try a more gentle integration.
Something is watching me… Not cctv, not a plane or helicopter, not a satellite. Just… Something.
People say I’m mad, I’ve lost my mind. I believe in portents, I’ve seen the films, read the books. I looked at the Internet. The news isn’t fake. It’s real. Aliens aren’t coming, they are here. My friends call it gibberish, flim flammery, but I Know I’m being watched.
The eyes are there, I can feel their power. Watching, waiting, ready to take over. All it will take is one tweak to their gene pool. One extra piece of the puzzle. One grim fact and then……. Man will be subservient.
Our boy cat likes to sleep anywhere enclosed, like boxes or behind curtains, when he got in the old washing basket where we keep shopping bags, that was OK… That was in the quiet of the bathroom. But hubby wants a shower so he’s bought the cat and the basket into the living room so the cat doesn’t get wet! He was fast asleep so had one huge yawn, not he’s curled up and gone back to sleep! (the cat not hubby!)
