Ripples in the sky
Blue and white
Stripes like the side of a fish
A mackerel gliding
Swimming over us
In cold beauty
Or a doves wings
Flapping in slow motion
Stop and go animation
Leaving white shadows
across the sky…
New paintings and regular art updates.

The cat sits outside
In the dark
By the door
Looking at me.
I call her in
She ignores me
Her head starts to move
But not to come in.
She’s watching a moth
She’s sitting on the pavement
As cars drive by
Calmly watching
Flitting moths.
I shut the door
Give up
She’s happy.

Triangles and squares
Tangled nightmares?
Or coloured patches
Tiles as thatches
Worn and softened
By digital drawing hand
Playing with space
In this doodling race
Rainbow that rhymes
Abstract at times.

Wind blows
and cat knows
Which way the wind is blowing.
Bird flies
And follows
The wind southwards
To find a home to brood
It’s young chicks.
Cat looks North
Bird comes South
May they miss each other
In the windy sky.

Animal Apocalypse, a musical look at the plight of our planet. It should be very moving and thought provoking.
Bethesda Chapel, Albion Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. A methodist Chapel that is being restored to its former glory.
Today at 3pm. 3.7.2022 Tickets through Eventbrite or by donation at the door.
Featuring words, music and poems. With Sean O’Callaghan and the Clay Chorus. Devised by Robert of Etruria and Gred Stephens. Choir leader Kate Barfield.
We have been rehearsing for this for several weeks now. It’s come together really well, with the choir learning harmonies to some new and old songs, and the readings touching on the statistics of environmental issues together with classic poems and words. Should be a good event.

I see all ways
Up, down, side to side
A window on the world
No where to hide.
Flying through space
Into the distance
Blackbird swoops
Sings and spirals
In joy and love.
Like my heart
In the summer
Like a butterfly
Fluttering.

A doodle based on the previous post about the environment. They say allergies are caused by being bought up in conditions that are too clean so the body does not learn how to react normally to its surroundings.
Feeling stressed
Thinking of nature
But suffering hay-fever!
Eyes water
When I try and commune
With the outside world
The pollen
So tiny
Can keep me trapped.
Sneezing
Enclosed
Removed from nature!

Two wild poppies
On a short walk
Waved to me in the wind
Jolly red and bright.
On rough ground
Seeds had fallen
Nurtured with rain
Baked in the sun
Bright poppies
Like happy smiling children
Waved to me
In the wind
On a short walk

I must stop scrolling
Looking through
Liking this
Loving that
Might be better
To watch paint dry!
All those hooks
To catch your eye?
There’s too much to see
Read and watch.
My fingers are sore
Haptic touch
My mind wizened
Not widened
By endless ‘stuff’
The opium of the masses
Absorbed through your eyes!
