Rushing by…

_20191002_184359_optimizedOver the hills,

Rushing by,

Stony landscape, see it fly.

Fences blurred, ground so grand.

Limestone cliffs across the land.

Sheep and birds, flocks and herds,

Many miles across we sped,

Down to sea the river led.

Craggy hills round Snowdon lie,

Reaching up into the sky.

Grey clouds scudded on breeze up high.

Rushing wind makes me cry,

As the weather bites, cold again,

Then it comes on to rain.

End of journey, time to rest.

A drink of tea or coffee, best?

A sweet hot cake, a refreshing drink.

Then into bed, in sleep, to sink.

Sent from my

Bed and breakfast

I don’t know if

I like looking at clouds

Sent from the old one

But you said no

I like it when you say that

It’s renound for the first time

This is what you mean

Cats are all a bit of a cold

I don’t know how

to waste your time

This cats will never

be able to help

Next week.

Better go to bed

Better go to bed

I said

As sleep fell in my head.

Better try and sleep

And count some sheep..

Better lie down and rest,

Sleep time is the best..

Try and grab eight hours

Not wake as dawn flowers

Pink sky all lit up

My mind ready to wake up.

My world ready to break up

My life already shattered

Sleep is what mattered.

So better go to bed,

Before night has fled.

Trying to paint frost

DSC_2339

Brick built through glass,

Blue, crisp, cold sky.

Observed through ice,

Layered, feathered,

Hard and delicate.

Like royal icing,

Infinitely spun in shards.

Spiders Web of facets.

Glinting and clinking in the sun.

Breath burns holes in it,

A cold palm melts into a print.

Frosted glass?

Frosting on a cake?

Feathered moonlight,

Frost…

Armistice day

Poppies spreading from pole to pole,

Life and death must fight no more.

Let us give each other peace.

Think before we fight a foe.

Peace would be my lasting wish,

Giving back some bit of hope.

I know my wish can never be.

A world in peace I’ll never see.

But maybe once or twice the world

A life to spare, they can agree.

Orphaned lives must be saved,

Refugees must be delivered whole.

Shelter given, an end to fear,

No more war, a fairer share.

No more death of man or beast,

No more fighting,

Let’s have peace.
