Daffs
Get me some daffs to go with the tulips I said… So he did..
I also asked for some cheese for sandwiches, so he bought really hard cheese like parmizan which you would grate on to pasta. And the quiche I asked for turned into a pizza….
I don’t know if its a tactic to get over being asked to go shopping, I do wonder? I know supermarkets do substitute things, but to say that there was only one sort of cheese in the chiller cabinet? I guess he walked past the cheese and went to the Italian counter instead. And he told me there were lots of daffodil flowers for sale, he’d seen them earlier? But he came back with sprouting bulbs. Clearly he can’t hear or doesn’t understand.

Memories of panto
Some of my scenery painting from a couple of years ago. I had to paint the backgrounds but also one of the stars of the show climbs into a mangle (that squashes clothes to get the water out) and he comes out flattened, a bit like a Tom and Jerry cartoon. I also painted the back of him on the other side so if it came out wrong way round it would also work. Behind me and the actors portrait is a bit of my scenery. It shows an old market or bazaar where Widow Twankey has a stall. If I can I’d like to try and do the same again if my arm and shoulder improves.

Hubby laughed! I used a red envelope with a white interior and then just used scissors to cut out the heart shape and I made a wide hinge/ flap so I could write all the way round the heart. I couldn’t get a good photo because the lighting casts shadows so it’s a bit twisted. There are quick sketches of a rose and a violet… Anyway it was quick and effective.

I started with ‘Gin and Toxic’….
People have written ‘mice crispies’, ‘ baked jeans’, ‘rile noodles’, ‘hop dog’, ‘fish and ships’, ‘car food’ and ‘hot fog’. I think playing with words is fun. Most of the posts you see online are changing a letter in a song or a band, but food and drink seems to work well. I hope you think these are funny!
