Pens all over the floor!

What happens when your hubby decides to get an adult colouring book… I don’t mind, but does everything have to get spread over the floor? Also I wish he would get his own. I use these for my art course. I asked him how he thought I would feel if he’d tipped all my oil paints lying all over the floor!

Time to draw or paint square 6.

I’m doing a collaboration with the Orme art group. I have already done square 2, not very well, but I’ve also volunteered to do square 6 too. Today I went out and got some new permanent markers and some gel pens, so I will try and come up with a copy of the image. It’s a painting by Bonnard, but I can’t remember the title.

We have already done copies of a Picasso, a Monet, and a Matisse if I remember rightly. Fingers crossed 🤞

Playing

The ooutdoor cat is mostly in now. He’s Bern in for about four hours tonight.

He is getting happier. He plays like a kitten! It’s like he’s gone back to being a young cat, not a slightly scruffy middle aged cat. His coat is shiny, and the scratches he had on his nose have almost healed up.

By the way if you want to read a bit more about him, there is a short piece I wrote about him at the Katzenworld blog here at WordPress. He was featured today on their web page.

Numpty?

There are certain politicians that deserve a word to describe them. And my favourite at the moment is ‘Numpty’

The Oxford English Dictionary has launched a search to find the first recorded use in English of the word ‘numpty‘, which means a foolish or stupid person. Since the mid-1980s, numpty has been used as a mild term of abuse in Britain.14 Jun 2015.

I like it because it’s not a swear word, but I can take a great big breath and shout ‘you great big NUMPTY !’ and put real heart and soul into it!
