A satsuma and a plum. Part of my five fruit and vegetables a day. Refreshing when you have been practising songs for a couple of hours. I balanced them on top of each other just to make an interesting photo. They are resting on an old table that has been used for artwork.
I could see the window was blurry through my eye with my worst cataract and I wondered how to create an image of what it looks like? I took a photo through my bed sheet and it sort of worked. I also put it through a black and white filter because my sheet was pink. My eyesight isn’t as bad as this, but it does give an impression of what I imagine a really bad cataract would look like.
Not a nut but the ring off the bottom of a wet glass. Water absorbed into the open unvarnished oak grain. A temporary signature that will soon dry.
Food and drink finished, I abandoned it to its quiet fate of invisibility. Evaporated, gone.

Tonight was the first performance of the opera, Who is Molly Leigh?
I enjoyed singing in the choir and got to watch a couple of scenes. We sing in the final scene and question who Molly Leigh was? Was she real, was she a myth? It’s amazing how it’s all come together. I’m pleased to say the audience enjoyed it.
I’m absolutely shattered now! I went to the fish and chip shop to get tea because I’m to tired to microwave something, but it’s going cold in the kitchen because I sat down and I’m too achy to get back up! Might have a nap.
What would you change about modern society?
And why not. There are too many weapons in the world. Guns and missiles. Bombs and tanks. It’s about time we reconsidered what on earth we are doing to this planet of ours with so many wars and gangs and terrorists. Take the guns away, it’s harder to hurt people. I wish aliens would turn up and turn weapons into dust or soil. Just stop the killing, stop the greed, stop the misery. Use our resources to improve lives not destroy them. Imagine a world of peace if you can.
I saw this today, a clothes rail that had hand shapes to hook coats or hats on. I spoke to our choir leader at teatime and as we were chatting I mentioned I liked the funky design…. Turned out her ex husband had made it years ago! It was a commission made for a business man, but when his firm closed it came back to the Barts building and is used for costumes.
My question, how on earth did I pick up on this link without ever knowing about it intuition?
