Sitting pretty,
Cat in a box
Just had his tea
Now he can sleep
I’ll let him rest
And get the best
Afternoon kip,
With some of the catnip!
New paintings and regular art updates.

Two on an armchair
One one the floor
By the heater
So three tiers actually.
The Third too far away to fit
My companions
Warmth seeking
I’m saving money
Radiators only on a few hours
But they are happy….

Must be cold today
He’s sat on My knee four times
He’s just come up again
So at least one knees warm!
Oh! he’s just jumped down
Cold knees!

Last might my voice was croaky
I sneezed twice. But I was ok
Now I have the lurgy
I feel tired and achy
My nose is dripping like a tap
My eyes are gunged up.
Change in weather
Cold germs sneak out and gets you
Warm germs decide to leave.
I always get colds in autumn and spring.
Fed up
The cats hate me sneezing
Loudly…

Medium cat (left) and large cat (right) like to sleep on this chair. Usually there is a single occupant, but tonight they are sharing. The little cat is on the floor just exploring to find somewhere to settle down.
I’m glad they tolerate and cope with each other, the small cat is nervous and sometimes has a paw raised to her, but there’s very rarely a squabble and usually they chase together to pay. I think I will go and settle down too. I’m struggling to keep my eyes open, the cats have the right idea. X

He snuck out you see…
Didn’t come back
For two days
I think he has a pad
A place to sleep
When he wants to be bad
Then I don’t see him
Which makes me sad!
Usually he comes back
Soaking wet
To have a wash, grub,
Then off again!

Paws stretch out
Greeting me
Just saying hi
It’s nice to be
Warm and relaxed
On a cold evening
Wind swirling
Late August
Good night.
What motivates you?

Those who read my blog know I haven’t been well and I’m currently waiting for test results. My doctor has told me not to overdo things, so I’m motivated to protect myself and I’m resting. That doesn’t mean I’m not doing things, but I have to do them slowly and carefully. I’m even having to use a walking stick. My friend explained i had it set at the wrong height. Too long.
I have for that reason been a bit slow at blogging recently.

He purrs, he sits, cheek rubs my hand.
Paws outstretched.
Then one paw reaches out to me.
A greeting, saying are you OK?
Cats know when you need love
They express feelings, you can see it.
Little nudges of his nose against my hand.
He will sit on my knee soon.
Looking after me.

I found this photo of a tin cat knocking about in my Facebook memories recently. I think you were meant to put a tea light in it? I had it for a few years but I think it eventually rusted through. I guess a bird could nest in it although I never saw any inside it. A cat with a bird in its mouth isn’t a good idea anyway. I love it’s shocked or scared expression.
