Flopped cat!

He came in out the rain, jumped up on the chair arm and flopped down next to me. Head hanging down by my knee. So comfortable and relaxed. He wasn’t fully asleep though. As soon as I took his photo he decided to move.

All three of our cats were within a few feet of each other earlier on. I think it’s because we are just having a couple of heaters on in the living room to save energy. So they are huddling a bit to keep warm. Mi d you I’ve got the living room light on for a change. Sometimes it’s like living in a cave when we just have a couple of lamps on. I can imagine myself doing paintings of cats on the walls, like cave paintings. X

Tired wizard

Hubby is ill. Coughing and tired with this cold. He came downstairs for tea and then went to stand up and fainted! He’s OK but he’s hurt his knee by landing on an oil heater. He wouldn’t let me call an ambulance and he’s gone back upstairs with a walking stick. He’s like a tired old wizard, not happy, but not in the mood for TLC. Don’t know what to do. I’ll take him a drink and a sandwich in a bit. All I can do is help if I can.

Fell over..

I was trying  to help move a huge flower pot with an olive tree and a walnut tree growing out of it. My husband was  pulling the pot and I tried to push.. He pulled me over! I crashed into some plants luckily not the concrete. Im glad he was there! I realised I was OK with only a slightly bashed knee. But I don’t have the strength to get up that I once had. I was flailing around on the floor, like the dying fly dance from the 70s or 80s. I managed to turn to my knees then he hauled me to my feet. My knee is a bit sore but it’s the shock and surprise, you feel yourself topple, everything goes sideways. Then it’s shock that you are on the ground. Last time was because a chair leg broke. Then I broke a rib so I count myself lucky today. Its scary enough when you are a child and fall over, when you’re a middle aged, unfit female it can be frightening. X
