No sign of the outdoor cat?

Well he is around, and he did come in and eat earlier on, but despite it blowing a gale he doesn’t seem to want to come in. I think becausemy hubby has dragged him in a few times so he has decided he might be trapped inside (this despite spending two hours on the settee last night). I guess he knows his own mind, he yowls loudly to get out once he’s in and the door is shut… We will make progress I’m sure. But on his terms, not ours.

Asleep, dreaming

After reading the cycling magazine the cat fell into a deep sleep. As I watched him his back legs started to kick and wheel, like he was pushing pedals, hard. In his dreams he was riding a small bike, resting his forepaws on softly covered handle bars. Cycling up and down the rooves, down into guttering, splashing along, kicking leaves down to the ground. Now he’s going for a wheelie, front wheel pulled up. Leaping the gap between two houses, tail flying like a flag. Eventually, after half an hour of chasing his tail on the bike, round and round in rattling circles, he falls gently into a quiet sleep but remembering his ‘mad cat’ adventures.

Comfy cat

He’s curled up on a cushion between out two chairs. Happily asleep. He’s not a cat that twitches much when he dreams. Some of the kick out their legs and run after mice I guess when they sleep. But my boy cat stays calm, a twitch of his ear, or his nose is all he does. Cats sleep for sixteen hours a day as far as I know. Imagine that. Head down, dreaming over what food he will be getting for tea. Slightly pampered. Always loved.

Chilled cat

My cat has taken to sleeping in this cardboard box, and I just saw the sign on the side ‘Chill 2/4°C’.

I had to get my camera and take a couple of photos on him. He might not be the cutest cat in the world, but he certainly is the sweetest to me.

He half closes his eyes, and I’m sure he smiles! He finds various places to sleep. This is his favourite place at the moment.

Crossed paws

The cat has taken up residence on the microwave. He likes it in the kitchen because I think it’s cooler for him in the evening. The other cat sleeps upstairs. I just move things out of his way and he settles down. I like it when he crosses his front paws over his nose. He looks so cute.

Snuggled.

Paws crossed,

keeping the light out,

closed eyes,

relaxed,

asleep.

Sweet.

Paws twitch,

mad dream,

running and chasing

in his mind.

You can’t catch me,

he thinks,

as he curls into a tighter ball.
