Not my horse
Or one I’ve met
Just appeared in my gallery
Must have flown in
Pegasus style
Jumping in with a smile
On his long face
Grinning teeth glitter
In the sunshine
Happy as Larry.
New paintings and regular art updates.

I don’t notice this everyday, but this is a ginger cat window that I designed soon after we moved into our house. My friend, who was actually a carpenter, made this leaded glass window for us. It’s a really unique piece of art and I love it on a sunny day when it really sparkles. It’s about 30 years old now.
If I could I would design another window to sit in the window at the top of the stairs. I like the idea of a really gothic idea with vine leaves and a black and white cat stari6out of the window. Perhaps I will draw or paint the idea.

Snow is falling. The road is covered by it and since we live on a steep hill cars are coming up but doing three point turns because of it. I’ve seen at least 5 reversing lights through the front door window so far tonight. I think it was gritted during the initial snow fall, but they haven’t come back and it’s 11.45pm now.
It’s worrying because this is the main route ambulances take up to the hospital. We don’t get a lot of snow in the winter so I thought it was worth taking a photo. I hope it clears up soon. Another car just turned up the street then turned round and one crept down the hill very slowly. We just aren’t used to snow in this country.

I wish it was Rose day
Summer scented
Whiffs wafting
In the bright sunlight.
No thought of winter
Or sadness
Or dark days
Just glorious beauty
High up
Entrancing
Captivating my soul.
The contrast
My life in shadow

I keep getting a message when I try and like people’s posts….
“there is a problem with your request, please try again later”…
It’s annoying because I like to go through peoples posts on the reader section of WordPress and mark the ones I like. I’ve tried twice today but it still doesn’t seem to be working?
So for all of you who I would have liked here’s a thumbs up to you! πππ»ππΌππ½ππΎππΏ

Not the best card I’ve ever drawn but I’m limited in what I can do because my computer needs setting up so I did a finger painting in Artrage and they edited it in something called Sketcher app.
I’ve donated to Parkinsons UK this year so I’ve not sent any cards.
I hope you all have a lovely time wherever you are and no matter what you celebrate or don’t.
Let’s hope for more peace and less war and conflict in the coming year. Try and do at least one kind or generous thing for someone in 2026. You don’t have to be boastful about it. Just try and care.
Kindest regards X

Already missing Autumn
Colour fades in Winter
Llke a Bruegel painting
Colour slipping off the branches
Like skin falling
Leaving black bones.
The hounds swallow vermillion
Grind umber
Sup on the remains.
Bring Spring soon.

Sometimes you just have to doodle, To be free. Drawing n the Artrage app. It’s one of my favourite places t draw digitally, you get various pens and thickesses. You also adjust the metallic effect. I enjoy it.

Usually I send cards to my friends, but the local card shop has closed, the post office closed and one of the post boxes has been removed.
I decided I would make a donation to the charity Parkinsons UK instead. They do work on trying to find and resolve the causes of Parkinsons disease. Hopefully I will be helping others in my circumstances.
Cards are a fun way to show you care about your friends and family. They were first sent by the Victorians in 1843. They became more popular in the 1860s and 70s. People used the penny post to send them to their loved ones. I do t really want to stop sending them, but digital life affects reality.

I took this photo a few days ago and have no idea where it was at and who I was with! How can I have forgotten? I honestly don’t remember and you take a picture because the food is so nice. I don’t even remember what flavour it was!
It’s quite presentable, and I’m sure it was tasty, but after the last few days of problems and activity the whole thing has completely gone….
You know, the whole Internet is full of images of food. I guess you could save a lot of wasted space by not posting pictures of it!
