I feel sad when I run out of paper for my sketches. I need to get a new one!

My arm and hand (left) keep wobbling and shaking. I think it’s because I’ve got muscle wasting, which is because od my frozen shoulder…. If you watch a kestrel hovering it’s body is buffeted by the wind but its head stays still. My hand is not like that! My hand shakes and I stab at my phone keyboard. Half the time I miss and hit the wrong letters. This has got to get better. The tension in my shoulders is like the weight of the world…. Why do I have to hold it up?

Take a pencil a pen or a brush. Without looking at the paper, start drawing what you can see. Try and make one continuous line….
Try not to laugh out loud when you see the result!
An exercise I’ve got to do for college. This was a practice run.
I’m in an Group called Orme Art and we did a winter challenge to take squares and copy a Bonnard painting. This was the result…

I’m not sure how many people did this as a few did more than one, but it’s interesting to focus in and see the different techniques used, from felt pens to pencils and paints….
Laboratory was the #30daysketchbookchallenge for today. I decided to draw some glass vessels full of coloured liquids. I suppose that’s the stereotypical image people have of the equipment in laboratories, but they come in all sorts of types, for physics, chemistry, biology, geology, archeology, with lasers, scanning electron microscopes, x-ray machines, burettes and pipettes….. So much to find out about the world around us…

What on earth do you draw? I tried to think, but dreams are so ephemeral and hard to remember. They are fantastical and sometimes full of bizarre images. But I decided to draw a simple dream of a cat scooping up a fish… Hopefully it falls plop! Back into the pond!
Playing with an ink roller that you would use to cover over your address on documents and used soft pencil on top…. Stones, posted in a page on Facebook about Grayson Perry’s Art club…

Today’s #30daysketchbookchallenge, Day 24 was something to sit on. I wasn’t feeling well so I tried drawing a favourite sofa from the 1960’s. Drawn in the Sketch app, then adjusted in photodirector before working on it again in Sketch (second image)….

After the #30daysketchbookchallenge yesterday and #MendNotTrend last week I decided to draw a few abstract patterns based on the prompts. They are all based on circles, two in colour and one black and white. They were all drawn in the Sketch app I use. I didn’t use any filters for these just lines and the flood fill option (plain and rainbow fills).

She still plays, she’s got a little fatter, I think it’s lockdown ‘spread’, I probably give the cats too many treats. When you are in a lot of the time and they ask for food, it’s easy to be lax about portion sizes. Plus the house is warm and so are the cats so they are not expending much energy. Still all three get on and seem happy. X
