Tickle? Or not……

FB_IMG_1572196814184

My cat does not like his belly rubbing or tickling even if he lies like this! Tickle his chin, that’s fine. Try and give him a belly rub, and the claws come out. He has to be extremely relaxed for me to dare to tickle him. I’ve got lots of scratches and puncture wounds in the months after we got him. Now I know him, I keep my hands away from those claws. I think it’s like fishing, he tempts you close, then – pounce, he’s got the back of your hand or a finger. Ouch!

Curled up cat

He’s curled up,

Happy, warm, snug.

The stray cat outside has a box

Sleeps in the shed.

My cat sleeps where he likes.

So sad.

The stray needs a home,

A place to be warm.

My cat won’t accept him.

Looked for its owner..

Gone away.

Now it needs shelter,

While my cat is happy.

It’s time for the stray,

To get a warm bed…..

My dilemma is how to do it?

New ideas for paintings

They might not look like much yet, but I’ve just blocked in three small painting that I sketched out over the weekend. The middle one is of a cat curled up on an armchair. The chair will be covered in a holly pattern.the cat on the window ledge will have a blue and white vase next to it, and the pottery is an imagined view in the snow,

I’ve got a busy week so I might not be able to get online much. Also I’ve got toothache!

These are her boys

These two boys were my female cats kittens, they were rehomed together and now they are about two and a half years old. I occasionally see photos of them, I do miss them. They are like larger versions of their mother. Both boys are really handsome. I wish I’d been able to keep them, and their two sisters that went to another home.
