Grey clouds,
what can I make from you?
A curled up husky..
Neanderthal men?
A man’s head in profile
with long hair and beard?
A horses head…
A llamas face.
My random mind
makes things appear
from nothing more
Than water vapour,
and clouds.
New paintings and regular art updates.

The owl and the pussycat went to sea
And found they couldn’t swim
They had to call the coastguard out,
The captains name was Jim.
He told them to get in his boat
It was a pretty sight,
An owl, a cat and one old stoat
With souwester and pipe.

Jarring and jazzing,
my eyes ache and spark,
my neck aches and creaks.
Sore eyes,
tight band round my head,
travelling down to my shoulders.
Sleep won’t come easy,
the stress holds me tight,
I need to rest, I need sleep.
Early to bed, early to rise,
in the middle of the night,
then unable to rest,
Headache.

The cat sat in the box.
Not on a mat,
or in a hat,
not on a roof
or under a hoof.
Not in a car
or on top of a door.
Not up the stairs
or on the chairs.
But in a box
where it lived,
or died.
It was Schrodingers
purring..
Cat.

The sunlight sneaks in
Through the cracks in the door
Through the chinks in the fence
Under the trees
Through the blinds
Past the steel reinforced concrete
Over the brick wall
Tumbling down the chimney
Through the grid over the window
When it’s sunny
Sunlight finds a way.

Note: in the UK black cats are lucky as opposed to how they are regarded in other countries.
Black cat,
golden eyes,
a familiar face.
Sleek and charming,
not alarming,
bringing luck,
to one and all.
Found in night,
hidden in shadow.
A mysterious feline,
flying through the air,
a lucky talisman,
for the New Year.

My little cat,
Staring into space,
Sitting on a sofa back
That’s your place.
One little cat
Captured my heart.
Making me happy,
Till death do us part….
Our little cat,
Purrs and likes to play
Jumping up and down
And sleeping half the day…

Al**a play this
Al**a play that,
Al**a lower volume
Favorite tunes
Let’s dance!
Play music
Jump around
Remembering the 80’s
Having fun
How we danced
Remembering a life
Now gone…

Sitting on the world
Held down by gravity
Like a fly pinned
To a windscreen
Travelling through space
At thousands of miles an hour
Thank goodness we can’t fall off.

It’s late again
It’s hot again,
The pubs busy over the road
People walk by, shouting
Enjoying the heat
Banging car doors
Revving engines
Shut up, shut up, shut up!
I can’t sleep,
The heat holds me in its hand,
Stifling my body,
The noises throb in my ears
I need sleep!
