Invisible

Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt was Invisible. I imagine the invisible man would have to be naked if he wants to wander about. Or would have to wear bandages or makeup. There was a series on TV with David McCallum. If he drank you might see the coffee going into his stomach-Etc! Until it was actually absorbed. I got the stomach too high up in this sketch.

Staring

The dragon stared, it looked out at me, the forest had hidden it until I got close. I didn’t know what to think? Where was it from? How had it got there? Was it real, mythical, mystical or magical.

I stood quietly. Waiting to see what happened. I didn’t have to wait long.

It spoke!

Who are you human? Why are you here? Its questions were the same as mine. Then it said, how can you see me? I am invisible!

Of course I replied that it was not. That I could see it perfectly. Then it said I must be young, or believe in stories. Grown ups rarely see dragons!

That’s how we became friends. A chance meeting. We had many adventures. I might tell them one day.

Eye don’t know

What is that? I can see something. It’s dark but shining. Glowing from within. Like a coal surrounded by a gas flame. But it’s floating in the air and it’s big. Huge, still, hot, but not very, a sort of terrifying? No one else seems bothered.

Cars are driving around. People walking. I can see it but they can’t. I don’t understand. I don’t know what to think. Is it in my mind, my imagination? Am I hallucinating? I will try and get closer and see…….

When cats stare

DSC_1708When cats stare what are they seeing? Why do they look at things that don’t seem to exist. I see him pouncing on things but they are not visible to me. A great big purr/miaow yowl… then a rush and land crash onto a chair or leap over a bag or some books.

Seeing the unseen.. A sixth sense? No smell, nothing to feel, no image. I look in the same direction, nothing.

Can cats see into the past or future? Can they see ghosts? He never hisses and his tail does not thrash from side to side. The look is curious, open eyed. Querying the validity of what he sees.

There is a Shakespeare quote from Hamlet, something along the lines of “there are more things on heaven and that are dreamt of in my philosophy Horatio”

Maybe cats can see through our universe. Maybe they can see into the next….
