Semi abstract digital drawing with the Artrage app. I wanted to fry and create an idea of the air currents that happen when you are breathing. This was a finger drawing rather than using a stylus. I haven’t been doing much recently.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Sit on a bench
Be quiet
Listen to a Robin
Trilling his song.
The wind floats leaves
Wafted from branches
Zig zagging down.
A sudden breeze
Twirls and swirls
In a mini tornado
The gust stops
Leaves settle.
My gaze settles
My breath, released.

Just green.
Over the world
More air to breathe
Fresh and clean.
Keep the trees
Grow more forests
Stand back from the land
Let nature take over
Give life a chance.

An oil painting on board I did sometime in the 1980’s. It’s a sort of combination of a Pegasus/Unicorn which also breathes the wind. It’s semi abstract with a feeling of being stained glass. I would have liked to have actually made it, if it was possible. It’s quite small, about 12″ by 16″, the colours are quite muted. I love the fun of experimenting with painting. I like the idea of making an amalgamation of creatures.

This is the finger positions fit the New world symphony that Im trying to learn. I can get the lower notes ( I still need to learn which notes are which). One thing with loud music being played outside is that no one can hear the notes I’ve been murdering in here!
I need to get my lips stronger to get a good embouchure. Practice is the only way to do it. At the moment the air escapes from the side of my mouth instead of going down the trumpet. Then there is the moisture from your breath. That’s why you have drainage holes to let it out.
Anyway maybe I will learn it well enough to play to people? We will see.
