Not much to say about this. Classic Morris Minor with the classic green colour. They are lovely friendly looking cars. Probably made in the 1950’s? So nice to see it. Somewhere to go for an afternoon out. Etruria Industrial Museum today.
They steam the beam engine there once a month that ground the Flint for the potteries (that was yesterday) and they also had static steam engines running yesterday, but we couldn’t go because we were gardening.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was sweet so I drew my lunch. I was thinking of colouring it in but I left it as a black and white drawing.

Drawn at the Etruria Industrial Museum classic car festival today. I’m thinking of sharing a few photos later. It’s hard to draw freehand with a shaking left arm, so I ended up fighting the lines onto the paper.
I tried to include the details as well as I could. Distances and gaps between different parts of the vehicle may not be accurate but I tried my best!
Take a photo of your cats eye said the vet on Tuesday. Then we will be able to compare how it’s changing.
Good idea, the cat injured its eye when it disappeared (trapped in a shed /garage) and they need to know if it’s improving. But, my cat keeps closing his eyes when I go near. Either in a friendly way, or because I’m advancing on him with eye drops.
So, all I can say is that it is improving slowly. He’s avoided having the drops a few times and he’s managed to lick out the antibiotic tablets I’m giving him a few times. It’s frustrating but I just have to do what I can. X
My studio, I’m still nervous because of the delta variant of covid to go back into it. I need to paint but I’ve got that feeling that I’m on a knife edge, I don’t know what to do? It’s strange, I’m spending the money but for almost two years now I have felt very worried. Maybe I need some talking therapy, everything is getting too much….

A couple of months ago we found a budgie loose in the street. We didn’t know where it had come from but we took it to an emergency vets called Vets Now.
When we took our cat there last week I remembered to ask about the budgie. Despite being mentioned on social media no one came forward to claim her. (I think it’s a she). So it has now been rehomed in an aviary. I just thought I would post the details here incase anyone sees this.
When you go to look at model train shows you don’t often see boats or ships. I suppose this might be collecting or delivering freight from the train running alongside the quay.
We went to Weymouth several years ago and saw the metal train tracks embedded in the harbour quay. I guess they would have used it for loading fish and shellfish to take to cities like London. I think there are similar lines in Plymouth. I know they had large passenger ships calling in at Plymouth in the past and they still have a ferry service as does Weymouth. Transport is a fascinating subject.
At the far end of Luke Street, Middleport, Stoke-on-Trent, are steps down to a footpath along the line of a long filled in canal and towpath.
The overgrown shrubbery and weeds have recently been beaten back to reveal a pathway to lead up to Burslem in one direction and down to the Trent and Mersey canal in the other.
When the canal was open there was a bakery next to it that supplied thousands of loaves to the potteries. This is being celebrated by the Baker boys choir next weekend during a festival which will see an art installation being erected down on the canal at Middleport.
Hopefully I will be singing with the choir at the festival. X
Panto rehearsal started tonight. I’ve offered to help paint the scenery again and I might get a few lines to speak. It’s been a couple of years since we did it because of covid.
This is a picture of me painting a banner for a mystery play that we did a few years ago (based on the willow pattern). I love getting involved in these projects.
