Enjoyed the virtual sketch out today with #uskstoke ! I drew our house off Google maps, it was too cold and wet to stand outside. Anyone who knows where I live knows my views out of the house are limited so I drew two other places I know from photos too! Oh how I wish I could get out more…. They are Gladstone pottery museum and Penkhull church. Both drawn as snowy scenes so at least they look a bit like the weather today….
I didn’t feel well so my hubby’s gone out to get a fish supper. Here’s my imagined version. Ignore the splodges that’s from a drawing on the previous page where permanent marker bled through….
The day 22 prompt for #30daysketchbookchallenge was hands. I thought I’d play with the idea… I used felt pen and got my old nail polishes out…and because of the prompt yesterday that was back to school, I remembered drawing round my hands….

Can anyone remember having to do lines? I know I used to write with three pens, but I think I was just playing after seeing the idea in a comic like the Beano or Dandy….
#30daysketchbookchallenge, jewellery. Struggled to draw the tiny beads on this necklace. I was trying to make it look realistic, I’m not sure I did and the photo is a bit blurry.
Used pencils, felt pens and coloured pencils to produce this.

Today’s prompt for day five of #MendNotTrend was calm, do I tried to draw a mandala to meditate to, (not a corona virus!)
Two variations. The top one reminds me of a patterned tile. Drawn in Sketch app. I feel a little bit calmer.
#30daysketchbookchallenge. Day 19, standard lamp with pink sparkling lampshade. Plus view of vegitation out of the window. The prompt was lamp and lampshade.
Drawn in marker pens. I went for bright colours. A little A5 sketch.
Today’s challenge on #MendNotTrend (day four) was to create something three dimensional out of string or plastic and perhaps draw it or draw the idea of what it would look like if you didn’t have anything to work with. So I cut a carrier bag in half (down the front, then down the back) leaving it uncut at the bottom. I twisted both sides by the handles to make a plastic ‘rope’. I then looped it through one handle and looped into the loop over and over, finishing at the other handle loop…. See photos. I finally drew the outcome…
If you want something difficult to draw with try one of those ink rollers that you can cover over your name and address with.
I decided to see how it would handle. The answer? Hard to manipulate. Difficult to draw thin and curved lines.

I did a quick sketch from a photo I took today. Wish it was drawn from real life but I was walking so I didn’t get the chance to sit and draw….St Thomas’s Church, Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent. The Wassail starts out from the village hall which I’d just across the road to the right of the church. At the top of Trent Valley Road. #bandofsketchers today’s prompt was religious building..
