When you duplicate a photo you can get some interesting effects, like this duplicated photo of the moon through trees and looking out of a wet window. Somehow I see xrays of brains, or skulls, or pictures of alien twins, or strange little aliens with outstretched arms.
I remember looking at flock wallpaper and seeing animals, or looking at clouds and seeing dragons or elephants.
There is a name for this, but I don’t remember. I must have a very active visual mind.
This is a painting I did from a photo last year. It was in a magazine but I didn’t see who the photographer was. This is one of the things I worry about when using images like this. If I complain about copyright then how can I use others work? But if there is no credit on it can I still use it? That’s why I try and create original art, but it’s not easy. I write ‘after an image or photo by…’ on paintings when I know who they are by….
There are many problems with this. Is there any information anyone can tell me about this I would appreciate it.
What do you do if the parking meter is out of order? No phone number to ring, no other meter to use?
Take a photo of the meter. I’ve blotted out the time and place on this picture. But that’s just because I’m not publishing where I was or what time. But I have it saved on my phone. If I had got a ticket I would have used this to prove the ticket machine was broken. I only stayed there because all other spaces were taken.
Also the council can use meta data to prove my photo was taken on the date and time that I took it and my phones GPS will prove that I haven’t used a photo from a previous date.
Anyway it didn’t happen, I wasn’t fined. But I hope this makes sense.
Moody duplicated photo. Created by taking a photo of the outer branches of a tree so that once mirrored the branches seem to float and create a pattern. Though not black and white there is a monochrome effect because of the silhouettes of the branches and the mainly grey skies. Ancient aliens seem to hovver over the ground.
Winter is beautiful, photos of winter trees are skeletal. When you change the hue to a sepia or negative option you can get spooky results.
The trees also remind me of X Ray’s of blood vessels. Either lungs, or possibly the brain.
I’m sure I could do more but sometimes a simple treatment is better.
Taking a photo of a tray with tea light candles in. The grill on top was really interesting so I’ve manipulated it and turned it into a multiple image. Somehow it looks mediaeval.
I do enjoy playing with patterns and this seems to work well.

A cracked trunk up on Werrington Bank. I think the spikey stuff is Christmas lighting. I just liked the look of it, like a miniature forest growing on the tree. I think it gets very wet up there, hence the moss growth. The bark looks damaged and cracked, so the moss has taken advantage of the broken surface.
this interesting effect is on my phone. I was trying to take two seperate photos, but my camera on the phone was playing up. I guess this is like a digital double exposure. I haven’t seen anything like it before. It’s quite strange as the first image must have stayed on the image processor or whatever it is and the second image must have added to it. I think the coloured images were the ones I took first?
Would any of you photographers out there know what caused this?
I played with colours on my phone photo editor. By moving the sliders up and down I got lots of light fringes like oil on water. Just wondering what else I can do with it.
Photo taken last Thursday in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Spreading sideways, this tree seems to have had a haircut leaving all the horizontal branches but nothing hanging down. Also it’s still got a lot of leaves where the trees next to it are just about bare. It’s random because it’s just a street tree, the fence and road and car don’t really enhance the picture. It is all about horizontals I guess.
