Oi cats! Let me in…
It’s MY Bed!
I want to sleep
Don’t stare impassively
Shift your paws please!
This beds for me…
There’s space on the other side
Enough for ten cats
And their toys!
So shift over
No don’t run away
Just snuggle down
And let me snooze.
Cats stare, they hardly blink, a slow closure of their eyes sometimes, or eyes tight shut, but you know they have half an eye checking out whats going on.
Ears pricked, listening for the rustle of a packet of food, the rip as you open it. They know the sound of a tin opening and releasing the smell of food.
Nose twitches, whiskers flex, mouth ready. Time for tea. And they move quickly when they tune into the signals you send them.
An unexpected coming together
A grouping of cats
A bundle of fluffy foofs
Cats enjoying warmth
Cuddled happiness
It doesn’t happen often.
But they are happy….
He sits in the morn
On the windowsill at dawn
Waiting for me
Trying to see
If I’m ready to feed him
And if I still need him
A furry, purry
puddy tat

Sitting in the dark watching TV, the cat decided to jump up on the back of the chair. So I put my camera in selfie mode. I don’t look too good but I couldn’t focus in on the cat easily. She looks like she’s a bit unsure about the whole caper!
I’m busy trying to sort out some paperwork today, but I’ll be back later. I should get some photos in the garden of cherry and pear blossom if I get time.

A previous cat
Was mad as a hatter
Would sit in the drum
Of the washing machine
And stare out at
The other cats!
A giant cat wrapped around a pottery bottle oven, called keeping warm. I drew this along with a few more cat and pottery designs back in 2017. It just came up on my Facebook memories today. Black and white sketch using a black biro if I remember correctly.
What animals make the best/worst pets?
Cats are fun
Cats are free spirits
Sometimes they love you
Sometimes they fight you
They won’t take tablets
They will eat your food
If you turn your back
If you leave a morsel
Will steal your chair
Will hide in mysterious places
Appearing at odd times
Appearing when you least expect it
Get lost when they are due at the vets
Get tangled up in your feet
Have their means of communicating
Have to have their own way!
You only have to turn your back round here and a cat snaffles your space! I’m letting her stay, I’ll sit on the other chair x

Work out what I can do today
It all takes time.
Wobbly arms and leg
Don’t help my balance
Feel like I’m moaning again
Let’s just go back
To bed…..
