Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was outline. I decided to draw my right sandal and left shoe (no I don’t wear them together). Black ink fine line pen. It was good to do a simple drawing for a change.
New paintings and regular art updates.

I did the drawing of a fingerprint for today’s #bandofsketchers prompt but there was some question of whether this was in line with the prompt. So I decided to do a fingerprint out of black monoprinting cut up in a collage. That didn’t really work because I couldn’t stick thin enough pieces of paper down. So it’s morphed into a rather cheeky couple of birds!

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was printed. I looked at print on newspapers, printed wallpaper, print on clothes, print on my computer screen. Fonts, colours, text sizes. But I decided to draw a fingerprint instead (not mine, imagined, based on a fingerprint but not something you could track down someone’s identity from). Apparently you can also identify people from their earprints!

Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt was cool. After looking at various things on a cold day I decided to look for an image on Google. I found a picture of some ice cubes and drew that in my ArtRage app.
Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was new. OK, I struggled with this, then drew a new self portrait using monoprint paper and silver foil, then adding my face as if in a cracked mirror. The mouth is down, but that’s what happens to me when I’m relaxed!

I doodled a tree in felt pens (four of them held together for the greens, and three for brown and grey), then I added a black patterned monoprint for the fence and clouds. #bandofsketchers prompt…. Catching up..

Finally got round to drawing something at five am today! Cylindrical chimneys on a building opposite Stoke Station. I took the photo on Thursday but then had a fall and hit my head. Spent four hours in Accident and Emergency. I’m fine, the pavement is probably dented!

Then Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was architectural. My go to view when I don’t feel like going out is the Portmeirion factory across the road. I used black acrylic monoprint on white printing paper to give it texture and shadow. Then drew over the top and added a bit of pink post-it note.

And the road goes ever on… Black acrylic monoprint spiral. I was remembering a song or poem from the Hobbit by Tolkien. Bit abstract but fun…I haven’t slept much tonight so thought I would catch up with some #bandofsketchers pictures. This was last Sundays prompt, road

A pile of…. Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt. My rings on my little finger. I didn’t really wear any rings except my wedding ring and my mums that I inherited from her. But gradually my hubby has bought me more. I don’t want or need any more, this is enough of a pile of metal!
Coloured pencil, metallic pencil and felt pens.
