Celtic?

Digital drawing in response to some celtic knot drawings I did thirty or forty years ago. I started with Artrage, then used photodirector app and incollage, finally I used a filter in Instagram. Sketching the patterns was easier for me back in those days, but by using digital technology I can create more complaxity.

Light

I’ve just been playing with a spiral, like a pine cone. I added light and shade using the eraser tool on my Artrage app, this is the last one which went funny when I edited it on Instagram but looks OK now. There are about five variations using Artrage, photodirector and Instagram to et to this. #bandofsketchers prompt was light.

Picassoish pyjamas

Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was pyjamas. I’m watching a programme about Picasso and I drew a digital image channelling one of his female portraits. Then I decided to collage it and see if I could make it look like a print for pyjamas. Artrage, incollage and Sketchbook apps used.

Quackers

Hello Duck, hello Chick, Deary, Sweet pea, Luv, my Dear, so many ways to greet each other depending on where you live in the UK, (and probably around the world).

Duck used to make me laugh. When I first came to Stoke I literally used to duck! I thought someone was going to throw something at me!

So I’ve drawn a little friendly duck to cheer me up and remind me that misunderstanding can be funny as well as annoying!
