Of course it had to be a mad digital cat drawn in Artrage with metallic and non metallic pens. #bandofsketchers prompt was Animal.
Artrage is a fun app to use, you can try various tools like oil paint, spray paint, pens, different brushes and pastel. The brush sizes can be varied on a sliding scale and you can change the amount of metallic and non metallic paint you use. There was a free version, Artrage oils. I don’t know if it’s still available.

Nose is one of the recent #bandofsketchers prompts. I couldn’t resist trying to draw a nose from my imagination. The bit that goes in underneath is called the philtrum. Artrage app stylus painting. I used a metallic gold flood fill to start with, then used non metallic colours and pens.

I haven’t been doing #bandofsketchers prompts for some time. Well it’s abut time I joined in again and since it’s just after Easter I thought I would draw a boiled egg. Drawn in Artrage with metallic and non metallic pens. Prompt was breakfast.

Artrage oils drawing with the canvas set at a rough setting. I used a red background, then drew a horse on top of it. Used non and metallic pens. Pulled the edges into shape with the eraser tool. Don’t ask abut the blue mane, I was being artistic.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was Easter. Instead of using felt pens, I give you the Artrage app. A mixture of metallic and non metallic textures and several different pen types including a digital ink roller, a brush, and other pens. Happy Easter!

Taking my mind off things. I drew a series of spirals then filled them in with different colours usin metallic and non metallic felt pens. Using the colours in sector’s around the spirals in contrasting colours. It took me an hour, and gave me some relief to how I’m feeling.

Just did a drawing in artrage oils. It’s a drawing ap where you have a few brushes and a pallette that makes apparently oily colours. You can turn up a metallic look between 0 and 100.
This was done with a thin, dry brush tool. The marks are short so you are forced to draw lots of marks to cover an area. I could have changed it but this gave some uniformity in the mark making. Then I tried to add dots like halftone but because I was drawing with my finger it’s not very accurate. I changed the metallic effect up in some places. It sort of works.
