Valentines roses
Painted these roses, used metallic and plain paint, different effects depending on how the light hits the painting. I used quite opaque plain paints so they would show up on the black cartridge paper I used. Also it is part of my #bandofsketchers picture, the prompt was valentines day…
Tubes
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was tubes. Couldn’t think of what to do until I thought.. Vacuum cleaner! I do like his eyes! It’s fun having a friendly character to help with the cleaning.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt. I couldn’t think of anything, until I thought ‘school of fish’, I found this example of a plate with a school of fish from John Lewis so tried to do a watercolour of it x

Todays #bandofsketchersprompt was signage, and as I was walking home after a long, wet, cold walk I decided to take a photo with my very soggy camera, of the view. Since my college course has me doing observational images every day this fit the bill for both prompts.
Felt pens for the signs, a bit of underdrawing with a felt pen thats running out, and watercolours to give it a “wet” feel.

What is work these days? A lot of it seems to be online. Our #bandofsketchers prompt from #GraysonsArtClub was Work, so this was my response.

What on earth do you draw? I tried to think, but dreams are so ephemeral and hard to remember. They are fantastical and sometimes full of bizarre images. But I decided to draw a simple dream of a cat scooping up a fish… Hopefully it falls plop! Back into the pond!
Food
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was food so I chose to draw some fruit on a calico pattern Burleigh plate. As I’m not feeling like cooking this was the easiest option….
