New paintings and regular art updates.
Someone bought some metallic paints in to an art group I go to. I could have painted flowers but I did a ginger cat instead. I enjoyed using curving brush strokes. It only took a few minutes to paint but it cheered me up.
I have metallic paints somewhere in the house but I can’t find them. I intend to have a clear out so hopefully they will turn up.
I found some new tools on my sketchbook app so I was playing around with them earlier. Not the most successful scribble but I think I understand it better now? I will try and make something more coherent next time I use it.
This is to a recent prompt for #bandofsketchers. Wine. I need to keep my brain and creativity going so drawing an image seems like the thing to do. This was drawn on the Sketchbook app using a symmetry tool.
I didn’t cry on New Years day.
I didn’t weep at all
I felt sad and tired
But I’d run out of tears today.
Screwed my eyes up…
Nothing came,
No lachrymose rivulets
Running down my cheeks
I drew a doodle
Of a woman crying
That was all I could do.

I haven’t sent Christmas cards this year. Circumstances have been really bad and I haven’t given it much thought. This was on my Facebook memories today. So sending love and hugs. X
I’m a cat person but I suddenly decided to doodle a dog. I must be starting to feel better after covid. I somehow feel like drawing again.
I’m using the Artrage app and the simple flood fill and spray tools. I’ll try and do something more complex soon. I need to catch up with my #bandofsketchers prompts too.

Thought I would quickly do a #bandofsketchers prompt. Mostly lying in at the moment, various cats come and share the bed or lie on me and squash me. Keeping warm together. Quick doodle lying sideways in bed.
An image of a punk woman came up on my Facebook memories today. I decided to draw another, older profile, thinking of the years that have passed since those days. I had done them both in the Artrage app. I then added texture and an overlay in photodirector. I’m trying to imagine it printed on old newspaper. Whatever I do, I have to draw.
