New paintings and regular art updates.
Sunday’s #bandofsketchers prompt was Tiers. Only just drew this. I made a trifle at the weekend to share with my sister who was visiting. Plus it is my birthday today, this is a low sugar version. I realised it has three tiers…

Tuesdays#bandofsketchers prompt – sound. I went abstract with this, drawn in felt pens then adjusted digitally in photodirector. It represents the cacophony of sound someone with hearing difficulties suffers. Hearing aids boost hearing but also don’t differentiate sounds.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was tired. Well that’s exactly how I feel, busy weekend. An art group day yesterday and put up an exhibition with them, then today a drive out to Audlem to sing with our choir, then back to help take the exhibition down. Hubby says I look miserable not tired!

Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was reflection… Quick reflection sketch. From a photo at Rode Hall lake a couple of weeks ago. The wind was ruffling the water so the reflections are a bit subtle….felt pens again.

Collage of three versions of my drawing of midday. By flipping the central image it created interesting effects where the edges join. One side seems to travel along a dark tunnel, the other into some sort of tree temple? I used photodirector for the textures and incollage for joining the images together.

Midday was the #bandofsketchers prompt for Thursday. We were at Rode Hall bluebell walk a couple of weeks ago. The overhead sun shining directly down onto the ground threw quite dark shadows. It wasn’t perfectly sunny though so the contrast wasn’t too strong. Felt pen drawing.

Bit late with this prompt of flow. It was posted on Tuesday but I missed it. I drew two lines in curves by holding a blue and a green felt pen together to give me a meandering river shape with vertical banks, the used blue, green and turquoise colours to give an idea of flowing water.
Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt flow.

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was drop. Drop or drops. Tried to imagine how water drops fall and splash… I know drops fall like a flat oval, not the pointed ones that kids draw, and water splashes back up like a crown…. I didn’t use a reference picture, just tried to remember…

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was circle. I drew Circles. I used to have a shower curtain showing bubbles, a bit like this… It drove me mad because I kept seeing bubble people like this on it! It was an example of Pareidolia.

I’ve just got round to drawing Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt beauty. This was a narcissus flower I think at Rode Hall on Sunday. I was thinking of drawing bluebells but my photos were a bit blurred.
