Profile doodle. I drew a pattern then erased the shape of a face. I could try and make this different by changing it from positive to negative. I’ve started drawing a bit more and began a painting of a galleon at sunset yesterday. It’s not finished but I will post it later.
Sometimes I have no iea what I’m doing. I just doodle, draw and dabble with textures on the apps in my phone. First drawn in Artrage and then used photodirector to play and change things, then adjusted he colours in Instagram.
Surrounded by wavy lines I drew a green pearly ball. Just experimenting with layers in Artrage and smoothed out with photodirector. Too hot to do much at the moment.
#bandofsketchers prompt “talent” I decided to use juggling as my theme and digital drawing/graffiti as its method, more of a doodle than a sketch….Artrage app and photodirector were the apps used. I did actually learn to juggle, but not very well!
Falling asleep with my finger on the screen of the Sketchbook app on my phone. I’d chose a smudge and soft pastel app. I started with an image in mind, but I woke up from my doze a few times and saw the straggly pattern developing! I could have worked on it but just let the ‘process’ carry on.
It is entirely random and I can alter angles and colours and opacity if I want to. But I like the idea of having no volition over it, making it really random.
Artrage doodle, it started as a background and was possibly going to be a river with fish in it, but when it came to the final image, this strange face snuck in. I am struggling with energy, trying to stay awake because sleeping on an old armchair will do that to you. I’ve made lots of mistakes in the writing on here, I keep on doing it because I’m falling asleep as I draw and write. So it’s a very random drawing. X
Don’t know why I did this? It’s a bit mad. Playing with Artrage app again. I’m a bit at a loss today. My legs are aching, my ankles are sore. I’m still sleeping on the armchair, can’t attempt steps yet. I’m on pain medication and tablets for an infection in my leg. I am just, blugh! Driving hubby round the bend, been driven mad in return. I know how to do things, but he’s trying to cook. Which has resulted in overcooked food and undercooked. So, looking at screens, looking at posts. I’d like to finish some paintings but I cannot push and pull the chair I rest my art stuff on. I will have to be patient!
Drawing and doodling, I had fun dig this, just playing with layers in my Artrage app. The Green eyes give her a spooky look. I imagine this woman as some mythological person. Perhaps Cassandra who Wikipedia states:
Cassandra or Kassandra in Greek mythology was a Trojan priestess dedicated to the god Apollo and fated by him to utter true prophecies but never to be believed. In modern usage her name is employed as a rhetorical device to indicate a person whose accurate prophecies, generally of impending disaster, are not believed. Wikipedia
I was interested in Greek and Roman mythology when I was a child. I think I read about Cassandra then.
How would these stay up?
I’ve made an ‘armless’ sketch of big glasses. I was just trying out some textures in my sketchbook app.
Do you know you can tell if someone is short or long sighted depending on whether their eyes look bigger (long sighted) or smaller (short sighted). That is dependent on the convex or concave nature of the lenses in their glasses.
If you are very short sighted your eyes will look smaller than if you are only mildly affected. It also depends on whether your spectacle lenses are made of glass or plastic.
If you ever watch a TV programme or film with an actor wearing glasses then look at the lenses. If the light catches them you can see if the glass is flat, then you know they don’t really need glasses!
Using sketchbook app to draw tree branches. It’s interesting how you can import images and add to them, this is all a bit scruffy but I had fun doing it X.
