Mugs

I just answered a friends question about whether I have specific mugs to drink from depending on how I feel.

This is what I wrote: I have a ‘trust me I’m an artist’ mug, a ‘mug full of funny’ one which was bought from a charity, and a cat one with multiple cat cartoons. It has a crack in the top of the handle, so it wobbles slightly when I lift it, but it stays together and I love it. The ‘mug full of funny’ one is very bulbous so I can warm my hands on it. The artist one is wide and round so I can glug down coffee, and the cat one comforts me because I’ve had it for years and it is full of memories!

The featured photo is an image of a mug I decorated a few years ago.

Ringing for 🍵 tea!

Tea for me?

When you are on zoom upstairs and your hubby is deaf so can’t hear you shouting. I find the best solution is to ring from my mobile to the land-line downstairs! Does anyone else do daft things like this? The result was a nice cup of tea while I didn’t miss any of the practice. And no I said thank you when he brought it up to me, not after he’d gone back downstairs.

A proper cup of Tea.

Quick watercolour sketch of my brown Bessie tea pot and a mug of Tea. It started out as a graphite pencil sketch but you couldn’t really see it against the black paper so…. I filled in some of it, I made up some of it. I was going to leave some of it black but I used washes of dark blue and dark red to give it more oomph.

Art is fun, art let’s you free yourself, creativity can be good for you.
