Another #bandofsketchers catch up. Prompt was Halloween/Día de Los Muertos. I don’t know much about the day of the dead so I drew a cartoonish Dracula instead. Artrage app.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Another #bandofsketchers catch up. Prompt was Halloween/Día de Los Muertos. I don’t know much about the day of the dead so I drew a cartoonish Dracula instead. Artrage app.

Another #bandofsketchers prompt. Not a brilliant effort! I tried to draw disconnected bits of chain, without looking at bits of chain. The chain links are not uniform in size and the outline is too thick.
I could write a poem.
My brain is disconnected
From anything elected
If its political
I’m often critical
Of policies they’ve selected!

#bandofsketchers prompt travel, I wish I’d travelled to Hadrians wall and had seen the iconic “Sycamore Gap” before some idiots chopped the wonderful tree down. It was around 200 years old and healthy. Drawn in felt pens, imagining it’s autumn colours.

#bandofsketchers prompt still life…. Still catching up. Still life with mugs, why use one when you still have plenty available. Last night’s horde! Black ink drawing. I just washed them up.
Hardware was the prompt. One of the circular padlocks I got for our sheds after they got broken into. Felt pen and ink pen. #bandofsketchers.

Under his foot, my cat washing his back paw. I’ve been meaning to catch up with my sketching so this is a start…for #bandofsketchers prompt under your foot from a few weeks ago. Black ink and felt pens.

Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt was trees. I’ve been snowed under with stuff so this is late. Such a lot of prompts to catch up with! I decided to draw a group of trees on my phone. It’s a bit of a misty winter scene. I think it needs more doing to it. But not tonight! Used my Artrage app.

Sunday’s #bandofsketchers prompt was View. I haven’t done much actual drawing recently. I’ve just joined a small art and craft group so I opened the blinds to draw the view, but there’s a lot of plants, in the way.

Using the glitter tool and then a thin brush in the Artrage app on my phone I created a head of a woman. It’s interesting because the dots are random so placing of the features becomes more inexact so the face seems more natural (not like my usual style). This was inspired by pointellist paintings, the #bandofsketchers prompt was inspiration.

Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was Sky. I’ve always wanted to see the aurora borealis (northern lights). Apparently it’s been visible in the UK recently but as usual it was cloudy here. So here’s my imagined, finger painting in Artrage.
