Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was white. I could have done snow, but by the time I’d seen the prompt it had mainly melted. Its supposed to come back but I just decided to imagine a white ball of string.
New paintings and regular art updates.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was white. I could have done snow, but by the time I’d seen the prompt it had mainly melted. Its supposed to come back but I just decided to imagine a white ball of string.
Sketch I did of a friends dog. He’s a cross between a Husky and a Spaniel. He looks like a giant Corgi, because his legs are a little short in relationship to his body and he has a curly tail. He’s a real personality and is called Rassie or Rasputin. He’s very handsome and dark grey and white. I drew the outline when we met him on the back of an envelope then redid it and added shading at home.
#bandofsketchers prompt today is Private, with feelings of sadness. I want to just hide myself away, but there is a chink of light as I peep through the curtains. I will gradually try and get out again, but for now, I want the curtains closed.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was pointed. I didn’t really know what to do. Not feeling too inspired, I’m ill, so just drew a cone shape with a point on it and a darker shadow then added pen, pencil and paintbrushes with points. I suppose I could have drawn the Shard in London or something like that.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was deep. I drew a picture of a cats eye in black fine liner pen and felt pens. My cats are all black and white but I drew a tabby because there was more definition around the eye. This took about ten minutes.
Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was man-made. What to draw…. Imagined shoes.. Thinking man-made upper….black acrylic wash in my sketchbook, just a vague outline, then finished off with a black ink fine line pen.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was World. This is an alien world, all colours and patterns, drawn in black fine liner pen then shaded in felt pens. Finally digitally filtered with photodirector to give it texture and make it more alien looking.
Another twenty minute sketch, pencil and ink and felt pens, orme art group. I’m so glad I went. An enjoyable day out.
Multiple bird images drawn ib black ink fine line pen. I tried to fit the shapes together. Clearly I can’t compete with Escher and his wonderful tessellations, but it was fun to try and think about how the shapes fit together. I looked at patterns as well as shapes, so each bird is an individual. They all seem to swirl round each other.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was Horizon. This was the horizon as I walked over the canal bridge at Etruria, Stoke on Trent, near the Industrial Museum.. Its mostly obscuring the houses behind. Felt pen drawing and fine ink liner pen. It was a lovely sunny day. Not drawn in situ but from a photo.
