Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was health. I could have drawn tablets or medicine but I decided to draw my sleep aponea mask. I have to wear it at night because I can stop breathing. It’s ungainly and uncomfortable but it gives me safety at night. Not something I can go camping in though! Pencil and ink sketch.
Using a photo editor to create texture on today’s #bandofsketchers prompt universe. The texture/style tool in photodirector helps give an overall effect to a drawing, opening up the lines and giving a uniformity to this image. The image was a creative attempt at depicting a past and future universe.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was Universe. So I did this doodle. Crystal shapes that represent ancient ideas of the crystal spheres, moons in different phases. A solar system, a sun, a tardis, a wormhole a saturn type planet… Also galaxies colliding and other space stuff.
Black fine liner pen and black felt pens. I had fun doing this.
#bandofsketchers prompt on Thursday was collection. I didn’t know what to do so I decided to sketch my cat ornaments. Bit random but I was trying to simplify them. I just used coloured felt pens and avoided using black outlines.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was brush so I drew my three Winsor & Newton watercolour pens and brushes (one end is a pen and the other a brush). Red yellow and blue primary colours. That’s it really.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was melody. My melody is Jazz. Subtle juxtaposition of lilting tunes and jagged zinging dischords….
I added gold leaf to add the sparks of musical energy.. I used felt pens for the background. I drew triangles around dots that had bled through from the other side of the page.
I keep doing abstracts! This one is based on electricity and uses gold leaf for the sparks!

I enjoyed doing this collage, but the gold leaf was fiddly. I cut out a star but it didn’t work very well.
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was ‘layers’. I didn’t have a clue. I’m sitti g here with my leg up with a pulled calf muscle. I could only think of hens laying eggs, so I imagined a couple of them in a barn. I did take a look at Google after I struggled with how the head looks. It isn’t bad….
Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was pair. Here are my new shoes I bought in Rhyl. I tried to draw in patches without an outline. I used felt pens to do the drawing and tried to make an interesting pattern on the carpet.
Two versions of my #bandofsketchers drawing for the prompt knot. The bottom one was first, a collage using felt pens and off cuts of sketchbooks. The top one is with a collaged kite added. The string becomes the knotwork.
