Seen on my walk
Two melting snow people
Holding hands
Waiting to collapse
To pass from this world
As a puddle
On a concrete drive.
Who will mourn them
Gone and forgotten.
Meltwater in an urban street.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Slightly withered, but seen on my walk today. These daisy type flowers brightened my day. They are in the top of a wall and sheltered slightly under a bush.
I should have collected some of the seeds. I think it’s an Osteospermum, a plant from South Africa, partly because of the leaf shape? They look bigger than Asters? The colours are lovely with their deep yellow centres. If you know what they are please let me know?

Up the hill and round the bend to Penkhull…. Just over 3km but it is steeply up and down hill. We walked along the road towards the local high school too. The view over the Lyme Valley where it is set was in danger of being lost as there was a fight over hundreds of houses being built there. Hopefully that won’t happen. Cities need green Lungs…..
I came home then went for a second, shorter walk with a friend. I’m shattered!

I remember
When you were an egg
I sat on you for weeks.
Then a fluffy brown chick emerged.
You were a handful,
with your siblings.
Sampling duck weed,
Chasing stickleback,
Bobbing up and down
While pike examined
your feet.
You could have been snapped up
By a fox or a stray dog.
But you grew
And grew
Fed by people
as well as your parents.
Your down is disappearing,
Soon you will be serene
White feathers sailing
Over the lake…..

There was ice on Westport lakes and ducks were standing round on it while the geese and swans swam in the open water. The light was glancing across the surface as it headed down towards sunset. There was scattered cloud that gave the scene light and shade. All in all very picturesque for a short cold walk round the lakes.
We took grain and fed a lot of the birds, we were mobbed by them all clamouring for something to eat. A lot of other people had the same idea. Hubby and I were wearing masks, but we saw very few others wearing them, and there were groups of up to about ten people!
I enjoyed the walk, not really very far, but slippy underfoot. Pleased with my camera phone photos too.

Tonights tea- a Thai takeaway from Sawadee Thai Taste restaurant in Hill Street, Stoke. My felt pens are running dry. I hope I can get some more. X it was very tasty.
This was our #bandofsketchers prompt. Shop or Takeaway….

Three years of WordPress, and the last three days have been the worst.
Trying to navigate round it’s new appearance on my phone. I can’t stop it posting to Facebook all the time. I’ve chosen the classic option, but I’m still trying to work my way through it.
I can’t do as many posts as I was doing and it’s hard to think of what to write when your mind is on finding your way through. Each time I try different options but come back to the same place. Grr!

This picture was done using a photo of a cover if a colouring book, then duplicating and twisting and mirroringbit in the Layout app. Finally I changed the texture in photodirector, then added a background of starry nebulae and added a grunge layer to it (both in photodirector). The more you play, the more you learn!

One of a bunch I was bought for new years day. Put through one filter in photodirector because I couldn’t get a good focus on it. The filter just tidied it up a bit, and made the centre of the flower more patterned. It’s more obvious round the edges, and the colours are brighter than the original.

It came again…
Startled the cat
Turned it yellow with fright.
Another beast from the East?
That’s what they are saying.
Cold comfort
In a cold world
