Threads threw me out!

Apparently I was fraudulent or trying to get money from people.

If you’ve ever read my blog here I think it’s obvious that I am friendly and try to be helpful. I was doing the same thing on Threads. Maybe I was too nice.

I had found a place I thought I could write useful things, trying to be a good honest person. Clearly that doesn’t fit their algorithm.

There’s no one to talk to or email. No way to challenge this as far as I can see.

As it is I’m proclaimed guilty without any way to explain myself. Evicted by AI apparently. Guilty and no way to prove innocence. Cut off from new friends, ghosted by the machine!

Is this fair? Is it possible to get it overturned? Does anyone else have any experience on this? What about free speech.

Threads

I’ve just been removed from threads. I don’t understand why. It says I was posting fraudulent messages and posts? It mentioned scamming and gambling, fraud, trying to get money out of people? I’ve Never done that and never would.

It has been somewhere I could chat with people. It’s friendly and as I’m quite disabled with Parkinsons now it’s been a life saver as I don’t get out much.

I tried to post this morning but got this message and it says they have deleted everything for the past several months.

They don’t have a phone or email address to contact, you have to use an AI assistant. For that I need to contact their support page, but guess what I can’t find my password.

Having Parkinsons means I shake very badly. Consequently it’s hard to type and the thought of having to deal with it. Well I just feel like giving up.

It’s linked to Instagram and I’m terrified it will remove me from that…

And META is literally stopping my freedom of speech and I’m not even American or live in America?

Has anyone experienced this and can you help?

Getting obsessed

I didn’t think I would be, but I guess it’s the old serotonin rush. I came off X because it was getting nasty. There were too many trolls making it a sad place to be.

Then I decided to try threads. I have to say it’s far more pleasant. But I do worry that I’m on the platform too much. I doom scroll for hours. Then I go off on a mahjong marathon. Sometimes it’s more interesting than the television. What I do want is to be given the OK to drive again..

X deleted

After 14 years and about 200 followers I’ve left X/Twitter. It was feeling pointless and I rarely used it.

I decided to try out Threads and it just felt friendlier, and then as I tried to post to both apps, X seemed more and more boring. Endless silly questions about where you went to school, were you around during the moon landings? Do you know one word that explains making bread? Trivial stuff. I’m not saying my new choice will be any better, but I’m giving it a go.

Anyway it’s nice not to be supporting Musk. X(kiss)

What is Threads?

It seems like a lot of people are on Threads. But I really don’t want to join. I don’t want to know what it is. I spend too much time on various sites and I don’t have the time to throw at another one. Plus I heard if you leave Threads they close your Instagram account. Is that true?

Can anyone out there persuade me to join?  Is there an advantage to it? It is apparently a writing based site, it sounds like tou can’t post images to it. But I love art and wouldn’t want to leave it behind. Let me know if I’m wrong.
