Ginger cat comes in…
A beautiful ginger cat came in today and was eating my cats food. I had wondered why the bowls are being locked clean. This is an addition to an almost totally black cat that keeps coming in. That one doesn’t eat food but I have caught it sleeping in the spare bedroom. I’ve used flea spray and keep washing the cats bowls.
I don’t want to be horrible to them as its freezing at the moment. My own cats stand nonchalantly by, they were rescue cats and seem quite tolerant. If I can find their owners I’ll ask them what’s happening?
It’s 11.30pm
Had a quiet day. Upset stomach (you don’t need to know). Slept most of it, kept warm. Left the milk outside too shaky to get it.
Interesting dreams, and nightmares. Cats kept me company. Paws for thought. Like miniature lions on plinths, standing guard while I snoozed.
Memory of watching rain then snow fall, then rain again. Had a bit of breakfast at 2pm, but nothing else but black decaff coffee. Stomach cramps stopped more.
Listened to radio at 5pm. Unbelievable words from across the pond. Not President yet talks about invading Greenland, Canada as 51st state, going into Panama. Am I delusional? Later a spokesman said he was joking. Piecing it together he also spoke about windmills killing whales, dripping taps, expelling millions. I’m not the deluded one.
Normal posting will resume tomorrow hopefully.
Cat dilemma.
Scenario: you sit down and a cat comes up and settles on your knee. One of the other cats comes up to say hello, reaches up and puts her claws in your leg in greeting, you disentangle her claws and the cat on your knee jumps off. Do you A, put up with it and try and get the comfy cat back, B, shout Stop! Loudly at the second cat? Or C, buy kevlar shin pads to avoid puncture wounds?
Cats keeping warm
They are both by the oil heater. Remarkable as they usually chase each other. The third is beside me curled up on the chair. Now ones moved, I have a little igloo bed she gets in to keep away the chill. I think I need one of those sausages that you use at the base of the door to stop drafts. My door is right onto the pavement with no porch, so any drafts sneak in. My ankles are permanently cold at this time of year. Anyway at least the cats are warm. X

He was sleeping then he woke up! Quick 5 minute pen drawing of one of my cats. I was watching the portrait artist of the year and the only thing I could do was my cat. It turned out reasonably I think.

Spooky yawn
Caught in a yawn, the cats are all in as my neighbours on both sides have both had bonfires. I’m rather annoyed. The closer neighbour had a very smoky, smelly fire, it’s meant the clothes on my line will need washing again. The one further down the road has a real blaze with black smoke billowing up from it at the moment.
I think they are burning an old tyre? I actually rang them up because there was nothing, then suddenly a whoosh of flame. I guess they poured some petrol on their fire? It frightened me and I was going to ring the fire brigade. I thought it was unattended but then I saw a shadowy figure through what’s left of my hedge after they hacked it back on their side!
So I’m stressed as I don’t want the cats to get hurt and the local hedgehogs may have been burnt 😢. Stay Safe X
