New paintings and regular art updates.
I always loved drawing cats in hats. I usually draw them in wizards hats. But this time I decided to drew something like a fascinator. It would be a close fitting felt hat with patterns and bits projecting up from it. I’ve played around in photodirector to give it a more textured feel.
My friend had keylime pie for afters this evening. It looks delicious and she let me taste it. Very zesty and tasty. I had a slightly uninspired chocolate and vanilla ice cream sundae for my pud. Naughty but nice is the expression I would use. I’m going to have to stop eating ice creams but this hot weather we’ve been having has tempted me. By the way the colour is too yellow in this photo, it was almost fluo green! Or that might be my eyes?

I took this photo and realised that it’s been swivelled round somehow. I think is sideways or upside down. So it looks a little odd.
I also like the colours, red, green, pale grey and dark grey. And of course the black in the centre of the flowers, the colours are brilliant in the sunshine. The shapes give it an abstract feeling.
I’ve got too many photos in my phone. It’s crept up to over 17000 and it’s hard to delete them. The personal ones are really hard to let go. I’m attached to so many of them. I’m not sure if I can wave them goodbye. They do hold me in the past. Tie me together like wrapping paper and string.
The WordPress account only allows a maximum amount of memory and I keep hitting 100 %, so every so often I delete pictures. If I can I remove the free photos from the free photo library, or blurry, not very good ones from my own pictures. I know it’s not what I want to do, but I can’t afford to take on a bigger package. Anyway that means some posts are now lacking images. But I try to delete as few as I can. X
I like taking interesting photos. I think this looks cool. Not much more to say….
Normally by now I would be showing you beautiful photos of my garden, but I hardly go out the back door anymore. My hubby used to carry in bags of compost and I would refill pots with it and buy plants to fill them. But now I need help. I want to be sure I won’t fall or trip up! Must get some help. X
Blue seems turquoise these days. My cataracts have shifted my colour vision. I see it in every television programme. I noticed it a few months ago. I had thought it was because a special new colour had been chosen on fashion grounds. But now I’m pretty certain it’s me. Hope it will be sorted out if and when I have an operation. At least I am in good company with the famous impressionist Claude Monet.
I had my hair cut on Monday so I added a fringe to my self portrait then I tidied up the chin. Finally I finished the painting on the right side of the portrait. My hair is still long as I grew it out during covid. Now I just have it trimmed occasionally. It’s slightly different to my usual style. The acrylics I used were not as opaque as I normally use so I think it looks more like a watercolour.
Today I carried on with my self portrait. But I’d found a googly eye on my table so. I added it to the painting and laughed!
