Ignoring the satnav

Sitting at our destination slightly tired after a long drive. Got a g&t as no more driving today.

I decided to use my phones satnav. But the options were all motorway driving and I wanted to avoid part of that as I know the motorway is having a lot of work done on it. However the sat nav didn’t know that and kept saying, “in a quarter of a mile turn left” each time I drove past a junction, turn left, turn left. In the end I joined up with the motorway. Then I had an argument with my hubby about the route, he wanted to go our usual way but it took me away from the city centre. We went a different way, just getting stuck in roadworks a few times.

So I’m sitting here after about 90 miles in three hours… Slow but safe x

I managed to delete photos from my WordPress account so I can now post new ones. Thanks to my friend for helping and explaining how to do it.

I deleted over 10%, so if you look back at some of my old posts there may not be images to accompany them. At least it means I can avoid upgrading my account and also save a bit of money.

Deleting mania

I want to post stuff so I’ve been deleting older posts. The result? A lot of stuff gone but it still won’t let me post new photos. So I’m not going to moan, I’ve already done that enough. Hopefully I will get things up and running again. In the meantime there are plenty of older posts that I hope are worth looking at.

I have no space here. Each time I try and post a new photo I get the message that I don’t have enough space. 99 or 100% of memory full..

I will update my WordPress account although I don’t know if I can really afford it. I suppose I just got too involved in this, seeing my stats going up week by week. Feeling the excitement that people might like what I do.

So I’m using an old picture I drew instead of something new tonight. Eeking out my space. I have things I want to say but I don’t have space, photos I want to post, words to speak. Life to live. Maybe I can do more soon.

Yes, I’ve just deleted a few tens of posts so that I can carry on posting here (my memory was full) hopefully the ones I’ve removed were not too interesting, they hadn’t got many likes. I will continue to remove a few more and decide whether to upgrade soon.

I can use my images that are already uploaded but I can’t use any new pictures because I’ve reached my limit. Ideally I’d like to remove or delete some pictures to make more space but can’t see how to delete them off WordPress.

Maybe I should go through my earliest posts here and delete them? I mean who is going to be interested in my ramblings? I could upgrade my plan here. But then it means spending more. Should I just post to Facebook and leave here, after all it was going to be an art blog but it’s not really kept to that track, more of a muttering in the ear of a few hundred people, occasionally a flicker of recognition. So anyway, any recommendations?

I’ve added a cleaning service on my phone. But it seems to have done slightly too much of a deep clean on it, or at least that’s my guess as a non technical person.

My WordPress account is shooting straight across to Facebook again. I will have to try and get help sorting it out. It is annoying, it makes me feel like chaos is taking over….

So apologies if my posts are a bit confused.

I haven’t been able to use WordPress as I used to for the last few days because I’ve been having some work done on my social media. It seems to be working now on my tablet but not on my mobile phone?

I think I altered something and it has thrown everything out of kilter, so this is another test to see if the post and its accompanying picture go to my Facebook page.

I’ve just reverted back to the old classic editor (thanks Martha Kennedy for explaining).

I tried to get the new one. I really did. But there are too many bells and whistles I don’t understand.

If I had to rate it I would give it 7/10.

Its not bad, but for someone like me who can’t code and who has only rarely used html… What is that anyway? I was just flummoxed.

Things like tags, I like using tags so people can find my stuff. It took me a while to find them on the old version. I found them again on the new editor. But although I eventually found the publish key I don’t know whether they showed up.

My other problem reverting to classic, is that I have already written this once. Pressed preview and then an error message came up, page cannot be found! It feels very much like a poem I wrote, “unexpected item in the bagging area”. So I put in a plea to WordPress to ask for help. No response yet. I’m not saying this is bad, just that I’m not clever enough to understand. ….
