Horses, ponies, zebras too,
I like them all, yes I do.
Galloping, cantering, jumping high,
Flying hooves, hit the sky.
Running, flying, beautiful beast
Marvellous, wonderful, not the least
Beautiful figure, elegant grace
Examples of the eqine race.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Just a doodle using the winter tree idea but with autumn leaves. The base is meant to be pebbles and rocks with a mountain stream running below the tree. Faces of spirits again populate the tree. I think they would be more aggressive or annoyed than the winter one, Im not sure why. Perhaps the cold autumn winds are getting on their nerves! I love the dark crystal film and the creatures in there, maybe that’s what’s influencing me?

My very full mantlepiece and the pictures above it. I am a mad collector of cat ornaments and love collecting art. I think I drew this a few months ago before the one inch challenge. I might try and do a tiny version of this for that. As with black and white photos, I enjoy drawing in black ink.

I’m still playing,
Don’t want to bore you,
Having fun,
Sketching and drawing.
Finding my feet
In the world of sketching,
Drawing on memory.
Faces imagined,
Can I stop?
Not yet!

What to draw on a cold wet day? Socks and sandals of course, to keep his feet cool….
Sporting Black socks with white toes and brown sandals, black trousers.
Part of the one inch drawing challenge I’m doing with Urban Sketchers Stoke-on-Trent. Sometimes it’s hard to feel inspired.

Says it all really, I went to bed, then got up five times, tried to sleep, now it’s catching up with me.
So many things were going on in my mind but I couldn’t shake them off.
Day 12 of the 1″ drawing challenge so I’m a good third of the way through it. Only 19 days to go.

It’s very wet outside, so I’ve done my 1″ challenge sketch for the day. I’ve just drawn a picture of a painting of a lion I’m doing. It’s a work in progress. (progressing slowly). I’ve got lots to do, but I’m not in the mood. I think the weather is getting me down!

What to draw? It was five past midnight and I decided to draw a coaster on the table which has a picture of a ship and a yatch on it. A coaster on a coaster! But now I’m not sure if I should not have done it. I could have done something later today…. Oh well, it won’t be the last drawing I do in this challenge.

Although we spent most of the evening moving junk out of the warehouse at Etruria I did get a short time to do some sketching. It’s a bit stern looking but it’s relatively accurate. I give you…..My hubby. A quick pencil sketch.
I was startled to meet this figurehead at R&B T cafe on the toll road around the Great Orme today. He’s a ships figure head and the cafe owner said he is victorian. Most figureheads are female so he is unusual. He doesn’t have a name so I suggested Posiedon.
I did a drawing of him and the owner liked it so much he asked me for it. He’s going to get it framed. So all I have is a photo of the figurehead and my drawing, and of course a nice memory.
To find the cafe you take the Toll Road from the ski centre side of the Great Orme mountain. The marine drive takes you around the base of the mountain. There are sea views across to Anglesey, and Conwy and Conwy Castle. Today though it was very misty. There was not much of a view just a haze as we looked out from the cafe’s viewing platform. (Which is up some steps at the back of the cafe.)
