Choccy biscuits?

I wanted choccy biccys  so I melted 85 % dark chocolate onto digestives in the microwave for 1 minute. I had put one square of chocolate on each biscuit.

The chocolate melted and started to slide off onto the plate so I got a knife and spread it back onto the surface then let the chocolate cool…..

Unfortunately the sweet liquid congealed and glued the digestives to the plate! I ended up having to prise them off with the knife. They broke up into bits but they tasted lovely. I might reduce the chocolate if I do it again… Now I’ve got to scrape the plate clean.

I could just eat a crumpet…

Holey wonderful food. Bubbles rise through doughy flesh. Toast on both sides. The bottom is solid, the top is covered in tiny holes that look like the streams of bubbles that rise up in champagne or lemonade.

Make sure you get them nice and hot and spread butter on the top so it drizzle through, forming puddles on your plate. People eat them with jam or marmite hazelnut spread, cheese, honey… But I prefer just butter. Sometimes it drips down your sleeve!

Banana, custard and chocolate?

It looks weird, but it was tasty. I made up some custard powder, I use sweetner and semi skimmed milk to make it. Once it’s boiled up and thickened I just pour it over the chopped banana. But as an extra treat I added a large square of dark, low sugar (less than 5%) on top of the banana before I poured the custard. The heat made it melt. I could have been artistic with the swirls, but messy tastes nice too!
