Blooming

Well the plants are getting well watered by the rain that has poured down here from the start of July after a hot June.

I wish I could send some of this rain south East towards the Mediterranean and its Islands. Plus Portugal and North Africa where there have been more wildfires. People have died. Meanwhile we are dripping wet.

I’m not complaining, as things go I prefer a cooler summer but I’m not sure how the climate will change in the future. We has grass fires here last year…. I would like to think if we can get our act together climate disaster can be avoided

Blooming

Our back yard is blooming despite my hubby putting icecubes in the hanging baskets! Now I need help cutting back the main garden, I need help. We are not fit enough to do it anymore and what we’re shrubs have turned into trees and huge bushes. I know the neighbours are not pleased but we don’t have the serious finances to tackle it plus we want it to remain a wildlife haven. Goodness knows what we can do about it. Maybe get on one of these TV rescue programmes!

Seasons greetings

Seasons come and seasons go

Sometimes wind and gales blow

Winter comes the cold is sharp

Spring time and the singing lark.

Fills the world with sweet delight

But the spring soon takes its flight

Summer time comes round again

Sometimes hot, sometimes with rain.

Flowers bloom and butterflies flit

Through the world all brightly lit

Later days get old again

Leaves they fall in autumn rain

Waiting till the end of year

Darkness comes but no fear

Always after winter comes

spring arrived with glorious blooms.
