Pebbles rattled in the tide
As the water came to me.
On my head, trickling down.

Florets unfurl
The hydrangea bursts
A firework flower
Bursting into life!
Blue

I don’t recognise you
I don’t know what you are
Bright blue flower.
Fading roses
Petals wilting
Leaves drooping
Soon you will fade
The flowers crinkle
Then one by one
The petals drop.
Pink blossom
Like Candyfloss
Bursting from branches
Pink and effervescent.
