I did this years ago. I still love this little watercolour doodle. I splashed blue paint onto the paper then I think I added the cat… I loved adding his frowny face. Poor cat, getting soaked. X

Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?
I miss that tee shirt
It was orange and white

I felt like a pirate
Fun to play in.
I was only a child
Wore it forever
But it wore through
Holes in the cotton
But wouldn’t let it go!
Eventually grew out of it
My mom used it to dust!

Playing and learning, using metallic felt pens and the filters and mosaic tool on my phone.. It’s the sort of thing you might call a doodle or an illustration. But is it art? I could imagine using these images for cards or for a children’s book. The cat is titled “tortie”. Not much more I can say.

You sit in a glass case
Short legged
Long bodied,
Tail raised
Dark and light brown stripes
Ceramic kitty
Strangely pretty!
Staring out in Saltaire
On display
To the world.

There was a cat called Ginger
He was really fat
He went upstairs quite slowly
And at the top he sat
I called him for his breakfast
I called him for his tea.
But there he lay upon his mat
Until he rolled and jumped back down
Much slimmer now, not fat!

Who you looking at?
Bluob blubble
My spotty fins are nicer than yours.
My stripes are neater
My mouth is bigger,
I’m a serious
Fish!
