#bandofsketchers repetition. Trying to catch up. My sketchbook has run out of pages and I’m stuck at home with a pulled ligament in my foot so I might do a lot of digital drawings. This has various repetitive sections using 3 different apps.
New paintings and regular art updates.

Sundays #bandofsketchers prompt was butterfly, moth or insect. I decided to do a symmetrical drawing of a butterfly using the Sketchbook app on my phone. Basically I haven’t seen many of them so far this year. So I preferred doing my own design rather than using an Internet image to work from. It’s definitely sketchy!

Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was repair. I’m currently trying to sew up jeans that are falling apart. I’m trying to do tiny stitches to hold things together. Left side, actual stitching, right, my attempt at a drawing of it!

I just drew this… I saw a red admiral butterfly outside and wanted to take a photo of it, but it flew off. I decided to draw something against a dark background to make it stand out more. This was drawn in the Artrage app I use, it gives nice metallic effects, hence the abstract look of this butterfly.

Tuesdays #bandofsketchers prompt was Voyage. I loved drawing galleons when I was a child… I was all at sea with this challenge till I thought of that! Felt pens again…. A galleon ship sailing off along the sunset…

Digital playtime again. I used the curved lines drawing as a basis for this. I had fun with textures and patterns. Finger painting in the Artrage app. Then I ran it through the photodirector app on my phone. I’m not sure who the face is x

Spokes wrapped in coloured foil, to add sparkle when a performer spins and balances it. The spin causes centrifugal force which makes it more stable than a static wheel. That’s why when you cycle the bike tends to stay up. The photo was taken before Raj circus started their act at the White Bear in Middlewich in Cheshire.

Got this from my Facebook memories. It’s a finger painting of a duck using the Artrage oils app. I like how it has a metallic sheen if you use the slider on it. The brushes on it can also create textures. I love drawing and this gives me the freedom to sketch if I don’t have a real sketchbook with me. I’m pleased with the colours that I used.
By the way”duck”is a well used friendly greeting between people in Stoke on Trent…
Sunday’s #bandofsketchers prompt was Tiers. Only just drew this. I made a trifle at the weekend to share with my sister who was visiting. Plus it is my birthday today, this is a low sugar version. I realised it has three tiers…

Thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt was glaze. I had some left over acrylic paint so I sketched out a pot . I painted in this random glaze idea. It’s meant to represent a raku firing.
