Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt is meditation. I wanted to do pattern to meditate on? I was trying to draw a mandala but it went a bit shaky and sideways. So I embellished it. Using various metallic pens.

Silk
I have only just done thursdays #bandofsketchers prompt to draw an item made of silk. My problem was I don’t own any, but I can imagine it.
This drawing was done on black paper using metallic ink pens, glitter glue, gelato drawing pigments, and some metallic paints you can pipe onto the paper surface. It’s meant to represent a square of silk, maybe a scarf?
Autumn
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was autumn…. I imagined a wet autumn leaf because I didn’t feel like going out looking for one! Felt pens and silver ink.
I do like challenging my visual memory to draw things like this, thinking about how colours change on leaves. The texture of them, how the veins run in them. It might not be accurate but its fun.
Verticals and horizontals
That was what today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was. I have three large bookcases in our living room so I drew an interpretation of them. I couldn’t see all the titles let alone draw them all. I also added cat. It’s a bit scribbly and decided to leave the drawing as black and white although I am tempted to colour it.
Stand
Dragon ‘stand’. Stand was today’s #bandofsketchers prompt so I drew a gardinair stand which is a black and red stand with green leaves and silver highlights. The dragon is meant to be gold or bronze. This was drawn from my imagination.
Prompted
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was excitement. I recently got a new set of Faber-Castell felt pens. I started out with blues but then played with the hues!
Looking at it, it’s not that exciting really. I wish I’d coloured it differently. Anyway that’s why I duplicated it….
Border
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was border. I decided to do a border on a plate. It all went a bit wobbly wobbly so I put it through a couple of digital apps to make it more interesting. (original picture was a felt pen sketch).
Meditation on Relaxation
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was relaxation. Meditation on Relaxation, a Buddha in a garden. I looked at our Buddha outside but I made the plants and the pool up because our garden isn’t very exotic. Fine black ink liner pen.
Sharp
I have done an abstract using shiny acrylic paint and a pallette knife, then using felt pens to add colour. I’ve called it ‘sharp shards’. Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was sharp.
As usual I’m experimenting with materials and techniques. I love colour and I added splashes of it with bright felt pens I bought lasr week. The acrylic paints are little bottles with glittery and opalescent colours.
Pressure
Today’s #bandofsketchers prompt was pressure. This is a strange one. Didn’t know what to draw. Decided on finger pressing a plunger…. Maybe a trumpet valve?
Finger painting with artrage oils. I hope it’s recognisable as pressure.
