Brother and sister
I love them, my boy cat (back) and girl cat (front).
I adjusted this photo to black and white because there were too many colours and I thought it would be better with a filter to make the image more coherent. These are both small cats, the girl has a smaller head but a bigger body (she likes her nosh), boy is a healthy weight, not too big. Both are happy and are learning to integrate with the boy cat from outside, even though he’s bigger than both of them, they boss him!
That ppaw came out and touched my arm! He’s purring, eyes closed and allowing me to stroke him. Ideally I’d like to get him down the vets to check him over, but I don’t think he’d play and he’s a much bigger cat then my boy and girl… At least he should be safe over winter….

Let me up cat! I’m being squashed, but I love you. Sitting on my chest, purring, difficult to move. Phew he jumped down! He is handsome don’t you think? Poddled by his paws (where cats knead their paws). Sharp claws in my knee. Mutual comfort, keeping warm like a hot water bottle…
What is it about cushions? I suppose they support your back or your head, but sometimes you end up with too many. Not because you bought them. Not all of them, some are presents, some were going to be presents for others, but you failed to give them in time. Then they just stayed, sitting on the couch, waiting for the chance to be used when a friend stops on the settee for the night, or to be hugged hard when watching horror films. Holding the cushion up to blank out nasty scenes….
Say hello to a garden visitor that seems to have taken to us. He’s very friendly (basically because we feed him). The thing is he’s so big and sleek that I think he has a home but he knows he can visit.
That’s why we are sitting in the summerhouse, graced by his company.
I’ve decided to call him Woody.
When I got up this morning one of my cats was sleeping on my chair. I stood and watched him for ten minutes till he woke up. He saw me standing there and gave me a look as if to say “no chance” so I went back to bed for an hour! Cats have such a personality for small animals. I find myself constantly talking a sort of baby talk to them! Making up different names and stringing together noises they might like. In fact I begin to think they are alien invaders who have us in their thrall. Until of course I get fed up and pick him up and move him!

On the mat,
On my feet,
You can feel the heat,
Of his body
I’m pinned to the floor,
Can’t reach the door.
His big white paws
Rest on my feet.
Cat sat on mat,
He must be fat.
he’s heavy
And he isn’t moving.
Warm purrs arise,
I’m stuck
